Let’s head to warmer wooded climes by visiting a Rainforest Planet!

Rainforest worlds are a great place to gather plant fiber, as well as fossils (we’ll cover that in a later video). Avian villages are probably the biggest populations you’ll find of friendly aliens.

However, when it comes to colonizing these pretty worlds, despite their lush vegetation and high-quality minerals, they are a higher-tier planet, leaving them rife with hardy wildlife and some strong hurricane weather conditions. On top of that, without proper EPPS/augments or the right character, you’ll fall prey to the desert-like heat index. Some of the Rainforest worlds are rather dark, leaving anyone without good lighting to not be able to see much of what they are doing.

So, while colonizing is not impossible, I would advise more toward grand complexes with good lighting rather than the spread-out homes of most settlements. You can still see the lovely backgrounds and rainforest floor if you use a variation of Glass block or Lattice for backgrounds.
