Showing the stage I use for farming items, like stat boosters and rare ability scrolls, or summonstones in the recently released Final Fantasy Theatrhythm Final Bar Line. Other usable stages include FF8's Maybe I'm a Lion! and FF Theatrhythm's remix of JENOVA, but the latter requires poison cure (use Poisona or Chakra) if you want to guarantee not dying. The exp gain from the latter stage is comparable to the one shown in this video.

The main thing about the stage choice is that, when chosen from Series Quest, it has to double all physical damage dealt by your allies. There are too many stages to list that do this, so feel free to do different ones not to get bored of the grind. It's important that the music stage is selected from the Series Quest world and not from music stages, as the multipliers tied to quests are not available there.

The key to getting a lot of drops is having Zidane with his Thievery ability, which works for the entire duration of the stage and significantly increases the item drop rate. Fran's Shatterheart does the same, but is an offensive skill that activates mid-stage, if I understand the description right (the drops do seem less frequent before its activation). I also have Item Hunter on all non-Zidane party members helping the drops be items, as opposed to summonstones or collectacards. I don't find summonstone farming to be a very wise idea for most players, with online summonstone trading available to potentially secure yourself +90% Item Drop Rate/Exp Up bonus with three-slotted stones, but I guess we as a community do need to farm for the best stuff so that it can be shared around.

The rest of the slots on my team go to Mug on Zidane and Locke (I also acquire my first Steal scroll after this attempt, and it can also be used to increase chances to drop items), and finishers and/or strong level-up skills. Paine's limit break actually increases summonstone drop rate, which it is presumably in conflict with, but it's one of her strongest attack moves, so I also feature it in Paine's set.

With this setup, items rain like cats and dogs, and it's not unlikely to get around 15 per one round of the song. Silver and Gold Growth Eggs will also keep appearing and can be used to exp grind your other party members (see the end of the video). With an EXP-boosting summon, you don't actually need the full 8x boost to experience from the eggs, though sometimes - case in point in this very video - you do, as magical units don't attack very proficiently early on. Trial and error works.

For my second clear, I switch out Locke in favour of Yuffie, the summonstone farming queen, and equip Discerning Eye on those who learn it. You can farm both summonstones and items this way. I've generally found that the summonstones I get are not in any way better than the ones I've already had for a while, so it's probably best to exchange them with other players to have the best ones possible.

I expect you can grind for even more chests when you get stronger and reach star levels for +300 HP/+50 stat increases everywhere. So far, Zidane is my only starred unit. With a strong enough party, a single silver growth egg may suffice to hit over 5-6K exp without using up the 4x golden growth eggs.

Collectacard farming? It seems like Rikku, Balthier and FFX-2 Yuna are your best friends for that.

Uploading this video mostly for myself, as I find it literally impossible to see what's happening on the battlefield when my eyes are drawn to the triggers at all times. I could learn a thing or two about the game's mechanics watching this.
