FF14 Stormblood Our Compromise
7This the level 70 story instance for Dark Knight in FF14. Big spoilers in this one, be warned. The 60-70 DRK story line is excellent so don't spoil it for yourself.
What can I say about this one without spoilers? It's just really well done. It ties into important MSQ bits, it expands on the Warrior of Light and provides some nice closure too.
Only thing I can note about the instance itself is...I'm not sure our NPC friend is meant to tank that last boss there but well, he made it. I'm just not sure if the instance ends if they dies or not, glad I didn't find out. Sometimes you gotta live life on the edge.
Easily the best 60-70 arc. Few came close, especially from the tanks. PLD in particular was not exciting at all.
Your awards for clearing this are the Abyss Armor Coffer and the level 70 ability, The Blackest Night; Creates a barrier around self that absorbs damage totaling 20% of your maximum HP, or around a party member that absorbs damage totaling 10% of your maximum HP. Duration is 5s and Increases Blood Gauge by 50 when full 20% (10%) is absorbed.
TBN is quite fun actually and useful. If you see someone about to get hit with a tankbuster or a targeted move, you can pop this on them to help both you and them out. The cooldown is quite generous. You can also put it on yourself too.
