FF7 Rebirth - How To Unlock The Stealing The Show Achievement! Tips In The Description!
In order to unlock the Stealing The Show achievement, you must win the prize for outstanding performance during the Junon parade. To win the prize, you must have an overall score of 101,000 after your final formation. I have tried a few different ways to get this (using different Parade Formations and units), but I was finally successful by doing this:
FIRST! Make sure to get all 10 7th Infantry Units to join. I have a video for their locations here: • FF7 Rebirth - All 10 7th Infantry Loc... Make sure to do this BEFORE talking to the Commander (woman in red).
SAVE YOUR GAME! After getting the 10 groups of Infantrymen to join, save your game BEFORE talking to the Commander. This is a point of no return! I did not make enough points to do this on my first try, so I am glad I save often.
After talking to the Commander, choose "Adjust drill team formation." This allows you to set which Units you want to use, which in turn alters the difficulty for each performance. I googled this afterwards, and there are multiple ways to do this. Apparently, I did it the "hard" way (all formations were 3 stars).
If you set same troops next to each other in the formation, you will get a bonus. I went with the 2 Riot Troopers first, the 2 Grenadiers next, and then the Flametroopers at the end. This made my performances go from Ramuh to Shiva to Bahamut, and all 3 were 3 star difficulty. If you set it this way, you can follow along with the video to see what the buttons presses will be ahead of time.
Remember that Red colored buttons are single press, Yellow colored buttons are quick tap (must tap the button enough times before the trail ends), and Blue buttons are press and hold (you must press the button at the start of the trail, and then release it at the end).
Try to wait until the lit up shape that closes around the button presses is right around the edge of the button press when you press the button. This rewards more points (for getting a Great), and will be crucial to beating this minigame. The good thing about the "hard" difficulty I did is that there are more button presses, so it seems more forgiving on not getting all Greats.
REMEMBER that if you are not doing so well that you can either pause the game and Retry, or IF you saved it before hand (and I hope you did), you can reload your save and try. Just make sure that you set your drill formations again if you do this!
Once you have earned at least 101,000 points, you will come in first place and get some rewards, friendship increases and the Stealing The Show achievement!
