The other fight I felt like recording. Another sorta boring fight with Knight spam but I have to explain why I left 2 of my team members dead in the beginning and the prep that went into this to make this fight seem more easy then Emeralds.

Ruby weapon has a attack called Whirlsand which removes one character from battle permanently. It casts it at the start of the fight until your left with one member then throws it's tentacles in the ground. However it cannot cast Whirlsand if there is only one member standing so having 2 dead members in the beginning allows you to bypass this attack at the start. There is still a chance for it to cast Whirlsand so it's race on time.

Ruby is immune to a lot of status effect but there is 2 negative effect's that work on it. Darkness which does basically nothing to enemy's (due to poor programming in FF7) and "Paralyzed". Paralyzed is a shorter stop effect that the player doesn't have a magic that casts it and enemy's like Reno and Unknown 3 cast quite commonly. Along with like 10 other enemy's. Point is it's very common for enemy's, not the player. It's a rare effect that the player can only inflict on enemy's by 2 ways. First is Cloud's Cross-Slash limit break which sucks and has a % chance. The other is Dazers.

Thing is Dazers can only be farmed and stolen by Boundfat's, which only exist in the Corel Valley near the Forgotten city leading to it. Killing Boundfat's won't get you Dazers and if you get high enough on steal and level, mugging them will kill them normally since they are quite low level. It's sorta the thing you need to know in advance to farm or get lucky to get 1 or 2 and use the w-item glitch to spawn yourself more.

So basically it's a combo of knowledge of the fight by knowing a odd weakness and having the right magic that is leveled up for it. Because normally if you cast ANY summon, it will counter with Ultima and because PS1 FF7 has the magic defense bug where any magic defense stat armor is not added to the character's spirit stat which is the stat that reduces magic damage, good chance you will get one shot. Even with the final attack phoenix combo, you will just end up in a loop until you run out of MP or summons. It being Paralyzed even for a small frame of time prevents it's counter attack which allows you to do what I did here.

Is it "cheap"? Yes. At least I'm not abusing stronger glitches.
There's cheaper ways though via Vincent's weapon Death Penalty which gains power after every enemy Vincent kills which can overflow and one shot everything. It's harder on Ruby but IIRC it can be done with enough Hero drinks.
There's also the "All Lucky 7s" easter egg where a player unit hp hits 7777, a message pops up and deals 7777 damage 64 times to all enemy's on the screen. Requires way less setup then what I did and only requirement is having a potion or hi-potion and enough HP. After that a limit break or 2 will finish Ruby off.
