Multitasking and how to save Grenades (a great way to help the environment while saving Gil at the same time).

To begin with, I perform two Paralysis Dodge glitches during the Wall Market quest. They were discovered by BrutalAl and they help save around 15 seconds overall.
The first one, being the harder of the two to trigger, is used inside the Wall Market restaurant to save a few seconds by being able to leave before all the textboxes have disappeared and by being able to skip Cloud's eating animation.
The second one, which is easier to trigger but also much more dangerous because it may softlock Cloud if one's timing is bad, allows one to talk to the owner of the clothing store and the woman blocking the bar's restroom at the same time.

Afterwards, I ordinarily proceed with the remainder of the Wall Market section to have Don Corneo choose Cloud. Interestingly, I score 22 in the squat minigame in the gym, which seems to be possible only in the PC version, as the perfect score in the PS version is 21.

After arriving in the sewers, I manipulate my step count in a non-freestyling way to force a Pre-emptive attack against Aps. In order to finish the Aps battle as quickly as possible and by using as little Grenades as possible (4), Cloud's opening Braver has to be critical. Now, the probability of a critical hit is calculated as [(character'sLuck + character'sLevel - target'sLevel)/4]. According to that formula, Cloud (Level 7, Luck stat of 15) had a 1% chance of hitting Aps (Level 18) with a critical Braver, which is incidentally the cutoff rate for critical hits.
Furthermore, Aps has 1,800 HP and if you add up the damage he sustains, you will see that it is only barely more than 1,800. In fact, thanks to random variation of damage, getting a critical Braver did not mean the battle was done. What is more, Cloud's Bolt only had a 97% chance to hit Aps (magical hit chance = MAttack% + character'sLevel + [target'sLevel/2] - 1).

Finally, following Aps' defeat, I still had to skip three random encounters. Considering how luck-based this segment had already been up until then, I chose a strictly non-freestyling encounter skipping route as you can tell by the detour on the first screen.
You might also notice that my actual encounter skipping is rather sloppy (during the 2nd skip, I open the menu for almost an entire second and don't resume running until the screen has completely faded in again). Additionally, I waste almost 2 seconds at the end by running through the Save Point but I am still very satisfied with how this segment turned out and even happier that it's finally over.
