Text skipping and a prospect of the fun that lies ahead...

First of all, I was unable to perform the glitch that allows one to pick up the Potion and the Phoenix Down in Aerith' house while leaving the bedroom. I lose between 1 and 1.5 seconds because of that. Even though I have been able to grab these items at the same time while exiting the bedroom in my ordinary segmented speedrun, it is a fairly difficult glitch. It appears to be triggered by excessive button mashing, just like the treasure chest opening animation skip in Bone Village, however, even after hours of practicing it, I was unable to execute it consistently. Therefore and since the gain from performing this glitch is so minuscule, I decided to keep this segment as everything else went flawlessly.

Apart from text skipping and running around through Wall Market, there was some shopping to be done in this segment (disregarding the Batteries I will have to acquire later, this segment features one of only two instances of shopping in the entire run). Because I did not pick up the Ether in Aerith' garden, I could only afford 56 Grenades. Moreover, of these 56 Grenades, I can use up 54 at most, and it would be best if I used exactly 53.
If you are familiar with how many Grenades it usually takes to get through Midgar and by keeping in mind that I will use some more because I do not take the stairs inside the Shinra HQ, you should know that 53/54 Grenades might not exactly be a manifestation of abundance...
