I had to learn the Star Bomb lore for these two fights, so I went to the Veldt to find a Borras, who has it as a rage. Star Bomb is a very good spell that is basically a single target version of Flare Star, only a bit weaker. Beats using Step Mine, at least.

Anyway...

Dream Stooges: As long as Curley is constantly put to sleep, we can keep this fight from spiralling out of control. We can take out Larry right at the start with the Needle Cannon, then start working on Curley with Star Bomb. Once Curley is down, we give Moe the same treatment as Curley. With Star Bomb doing ~3,700 a shot, this battle doesn't last too long.

Wrexsoul: I had some major trouble with this boss at first. The three Sorrows that accompany Wrexsoul are far more dangerous than Wrexsoul himself. The trick here is that if Wrexsoul is attacked without killing off his three Sorrows first, we eat an unblockable death counterattack after, and the Sorrows get healed for a lot of HP. What's worse is the Sorrows can obliterate the party should they get too many turns. Too many in this case is about three or four turns.

There is good news here: the Sorrows can be put to sleep. So to have any sort of chance of winning this fight, we need to put the Sorrows to sleep ASAP, and then bombard them with Star Bombs. Two Star Bombs is enough to kill off one Sorrow, so Rikka and Leader need at least three turns to kill them all off. Wrexsoul, at this point, can pretty much be ignored as most of its attacks are runicked. Sleep will usually wear off after the first Sorrow is killed, so we need to quickly kill the remaining two before they reach their third turn.

Once the Sorrows are down, speed is of the essence. Wrexsoul will revive them a few turns later, so we need to quickly land eight Star Bombs to finish him off (while staying alive, of course). Without sleep, this fight would probably be impossible.
