Zack and Cloud have escaped ShinRa mansion, but due to forced SOLDIER conditioning, Cloud is left in an unresponsive haze. Despite this, Zack manages to fight his way out of town, even taking up a sniper rifle to disable ShinRa's pursuing robots. He also realizes it's been several years since the Nibelheim Incident. He is quickly cornered by Cissnei who is surprised to discover Zack is the fugitive 'sample' ShinRa was experimenting on.
