FFXI UE4.27 - "If Final Fantasy XI was in VR"
77This is a project I started a while ago to primarilly learn about XI Stuff but then I ended up moving to the ARPG that I posted earlier. This was to see what XI was like in VR, it was a lot of fun but there are so many small things with VR That make development extremely frustrating!
There are plenty of bugs, so this is just a few clips.
Stuff I implemented
- Basic Combat with all weapons, hit mobs, they can die, etc.
- You can mount the Chocobo, feels weird.
- Zone spawn system, zone weather, zone lines, etc
- Town AI with various NPCs
- Lots of zones!
I won't be going back to this, VR is a bit of a pain and XI is obviously not designed for it so it doesn't fit well! (need smaller more cluttered maps)
Was fun though :) This video is to mainly mark the end of that project.
