FFXII - NLBLLG: Intro

Hello, and welcome to the NLBLLG challenge.
The idea was born on GameFAQs, where the user Max Power mentioned starting an "impossible" challenge, that would combine the rules of both NLB and LLG. He then got stuck on Seeqs, if my memory serves me correctly, but it later inspired me to try this challenge on my own.
I initially did this challenge many months before I am uploading the videos (I didn't have a TV tuner card then) and made it quite far, as I cleared the Tomb of Raithwall, obtaining the Esper Belias, pummeling Vossler into submission and even slaying the gruesome mark hunt Croakadile.
This video series recaptures those times.
*** Let this page be the one where you ask whatever questions you have about NLBLLG and I'll try to make the video description FAQ-like.
The goal of NLBLLG is to reach the furthest possible point in the game. It is an impossible challenge by definition and without a cheat device is agreed to be "uncompleteable". If you disagree, you are welcome to try though - I only encourage anyone's attempts.
The rules are simply - we stay at the lowest possible levels and we do not activate licenses on the license grid. It is up to the challenge taker whether he allows himself to activate the licenses for Orrachea Armlet (a forced license activation) and the one for the esper Belias (needed to open the gate to Giruvegan, but I highly doubt you can go that far). I did the former, but not the latter.
It needs no investigation to conclude that money is an issue in this challenge.
I found a solution for this on my own, and gave it a pretentious name: Penelo Mk I.
It works like this: when Penelo joins you for the sunstone sidequest, he is a controllable guest, an anomaly. Have her kill off Vaan and do Dustia chaining for cash. Once she comes back for good, her level is 3 and the others' levels are not influenced by the one she left you at either.
What is it? You say you are a video game purist and find this method inappropriate? Good for you, rape yourself of your spare time by stealing from werewolves for 20 hours then, but don't bug me about it. It's my game and I accept this method as a legitimate way of earning easy money before going to the Palace.
150K cash is enough, really, but I didn't stop until I had around 350K.

I am hardly the greatest FFXII player in the world and am more skilled at earlier FF battle systems, so the series won't show you some kind of ubermensch gamer achieving what others can not. You heard that correctly, you have as much chance to complete Tomb of Raithwall as I did, given that you have at least basic skills and prepare well enough.
Some may ask, why do a challenge that you can't finish? Well, it's fun, silly! I did it 3 times in a row because there is no other challenge where fighting against Belias or any of the early bosses is that extreme.
