Music used: High Tide - "Death Warmed Up" (from the album titled "Sea Shanties").

This fight is, of course, optional, however, I had to beat Ba'Gamnan and his gang just for completion's sake. After I defeated him, I turned off the game and redone this, now running away to save all the valuable motes.

His gang is hard, since there are four of them you fight at once and your level of equipment is starting to be unreliable as enemies' strength grows. Furthermore, Basch hasn't got a good weapon yet, so the damage he inflicts with his physical attacks is much lower than Fran's and Bal's.

What we do is run away from them until we reach a new screen. Heal your party and wait for all four of them to appear. The best and safest way to deal damage to them is tossing an Aero Mote with Basch (who has the highest Magic stat at his lv. 3) while Balthier and Fran heal the injured party members with Potions.

If you want to survive, you must immediately exit the screen after the mote damages all 4 enemies and heal, then come back and repeat the procedure. This is risky and requires a careful approach - no need to rush.

Eventually Ba'Gamnan will be left alone.

Ba'Gamnan's limit breaks - Jump and Water Spout - each used every 16 commands, are instant KO to one member in the case of the former and the entire party in the latter. If he uses Jump, simply revive the fallen party member. If you see him charge his Water Spout, however, exit the screen without a second thought to avoid it completely. It can be blocked, but there's no need to take unnecessary risk when you can just escape, am I right?

I used a Hastega Mote on my party here (accidentally wasted one because I remembered to equip the Silent Shot while Bal was using the mote - but it doesn't matter because you shouldn't save after beating him), and started to slowly chopping off his health, healing when needed. Have Basch receive all the damage by standing close to him and use Potions on himself, because his defenses are the highest and his weapon's attack - the lowest.

He will very soon enter his critical stage, where he will use a Hi-Potion. You know what to do, switch the battle speed all the way to the fastest and destroy him.

Pretty risky in the beginning and very easy in the end. Just avoid his Water Spout and abuse the screen re-entering opportunity to have all 4 members at full HP. These bangaas gang bang you too fast with their heavy hitting moves.

P.S. THIS IS IMPORTANT IF YOU ARE TRYING TO COPY THIS METHOD:

If you kill Ba'Gamnan's allies (any number of them from 1 to 3), and for some reason decide to exit the screen (the reason could be acceptable and sober, but hey!), WAIT A BIT before doing this. If you leave the area after one (or more) of the Ba'G's allies dies, they will reappear, not unlike the rare game Dustia.

In order to prevent this glitch from being triggeted, stay on the screen for 10 or so seconds to ensure they do not reappear.
