[FFXIV] Chronicle of The Sacred: Opal's Darkside
One of the members of The Order (Eoreza's last line of defense), Rolando Cristen, had been missing. Months has past and his whereabouts became cold.
Opal Valentine, a woman with a shrouded past and lover of Rolando, embarks on a personal journey to search for him. Gathering information from various sources, she has been lead to the Garlean grounds. She then infiltrates the compound and, there, meets with an ally Etefeur Dechu, whose plans were to also find Rolando.
Battling off the Garlean regime, Opal finds herself at the main entrance of the fortress, only to be surrounded by a group of what they are known to be "Highlanders" alongside with a cloaked Rolando, with a different air to his would be cheery demeanor.
Revelation comes as he confesses that the empire didn't capture him, rather he *willingly* went to their fortitude as he revealed his plans: to transcend the broken empire back to power and search for the "Scars of the Elements". He also revealed that it was planned to take out the Blood Clan that are nestled within the Black Shroud and a full-on attack was imminent in order to pursue the information needed to seek out the Elements.
It is said that whomever finds them will be granted total control of the blessings of Yumei Lucid.
However, it wasn't before long he concluded with his relationship with Opal was nothing more but to showcase how weak she has become and to that, unlike her brethren in the Clan, she never showed promise within her skill, thus why she bears no limiter. He then proceeds to introduce her to his newfound lover, Inara Sola, who acts as his soothsayer and one of the commanding officers of the Highlanders.
As powerful as Opal is, she is no match to the current fold of the Highlanders, as they've made quick work of her. She was last left on a river bank in Mor Dhana.
This shifts into a new series from the perspective of a new Opal Valentine as she seeks for vengeance against her former ally and beloved while ailing her newfound power: branding the skill of a lost warrior only to unlock her full potential, alongside her origins and character.
This serves only a prelude of what's to come.
