FFXIV:ARR - I see a spam bot
0Like all MMORPG's there's hacked accounts caused by users who have engaged in RMT. In this video I quickly found the source of the spam (Level 19 player.) Unfortunately there's no way to report it directly in the game client nor is there a way to simply rightclick-blacklist.
Unlike other games I played (see Mabinogi) the spam is limited to the chatbox, so blacklisting is sufficient.
However it should be noted that this RMT spammer is is from Version 1.0, as it's wearing a "dated" item, which are items from Version 1.0
What usually happens when someone sees these things, is that a half dozen people start complaining about the RMT spam... thus making the chat box even more of a mess.
This is from Excalibur (Legacy) server. Currently no new characters can be made on it, so basically ALL characters on this server are from version 1.0
I made this video basically to test the video capture speed. The Codec is RVT1 codec found in MSI Afterburner. The capture rate is 2GB/minute. Since the longest raid currently available to me is 90 minutes, it would take 180GB to capture a complete raid on a poor run.
