This is a more or less complete play through. I edited out one bad run at Exodus. Due to getting the ship at level 2 I did some things out of order. The game has no required order to do anything except getting the marks and cards to progress. I tried to show at least where the clues for these are.

cue points:
00:02:38 Character Creation
00:05:58 Journey Onward
01:02:18 Ship combat, go get exotics
01:11:01 Go get mark of Kings
01:16:09 Where is dawn, why am I on fire?
01:17:03 Go get mark of Fire
01:23:56 Go talk to the Jester on fire
01:28:49 Dawn, Dig keyword, horses
01:55:41 Prep to Ambrosia first time (To get the Cards and upgrade Wizard's upgrade)
02:31:00 Ambrosia the second time (upgrade Cleric)
02:41:34 Clues Dungeon (Mark of Snake 02:48:43)
02:54:37 Off to Mt.Doom (Mark of Force 02:57:25)
03:03:20 Going to the Circle of Light to Pray
03:12:50 Meet the Time Lord
03:39:54 Ambrosia the third time (upgrade Fighter)
03:50:12 Ambrosia the last time (upgrade Thief)
03:52:16 Exodus castle, ending

This is Ultima 3 with the VGA/Midi patch applied. There are some minor issues, one which is shown in the video where the game crashes if you try to resurrect a character. This is actually fixed but you have to get the patch from the Project page:
http://sourceforge.net/p/ultima-exodus/code/ci/default/tree/patches/u3up-31.pat?format=raw and apply that instead of using 3.0's patch, you still need the rest of the files for the music and graphics upgrade http://sourceforge.net/projects/ultima-exodus/files/U3%20Upgrade/

Another issue that isn't quite as obvious, but I had to fix it, is that the sound emulation in dosbox loses sync, and the PC speaker effects doesn't sound quite correct. It was either slow the game down for correctness (but then the keyboard buffer just stacks too much) or just ignore it. The sound font used is available at http://www.schristiancollins.com/generaluser.php

One issue specific to the h.264 compression is that the walls in the dungeons look like they are alternating stripes of two different brown shades. This isn't how it appears in game.

Ultima 3 can be purchased from Good Old Games, and can be patched using the links above fairly easily.

As with my Ultima I and Ultima II play-through's. I made every attempt to not kill npc's, not steal, and generally play the game as it was intended without taking the steal-bait chests in town. Unlike Ultima 1 and 2, you can actually finish without killing NPC's.

The first attempt, I did in EGA with mt-32 sound, but I didn't quite like the way it sounded and I missed recording something significant.

Other notes:
- Since I got the ship at level 2 I just went straight for the Exotic weapons and armour.
- My first play-through the previous day was 9 hours and 161643 moves. The play-through this video is from is just shy of 4 hours and 104725 moves. I actually forgot to record the ending on the second play-through and had to go back and record it (104570 moves, managing only to record like 1 second of it.)
- My strategy was basically spam the dungeon closest to LB's castle. Using the Wizard/Cleric to just drop to the floor needed to get the marks in the dungeons, or to get the chests for gold.
