In a major step forward for Nigeria's education sector, the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu has officially launched the Federal Education Quality Assurance Service Department's cloud server, FEQAS- COLLECT.

Dr. Sununu who spoke at a ceremony to commission the innovation in Abuja said the platform developed by the universal Basic Education Commission in collaboration with National, Space Research and Development Agency marks a significant milestone in the effort to transform the educational landscape.

The Minister represented by Abubakar Isah, Director ICT of the Ministry of Education, stated that the innovation will enhance monitoring and evaluation of education processes, ensuring delivery of quality of education especially at the basic school level.

Earlier in his remarks,the Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission, Dr. Hamid Bobboyi expressed optimism that the platform will change the narrative in the area of providing accurate and timely reports of education standards.

Meanwhile, the director General of the National Space, Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr. Idris Jega highlighted the various features the tool offers including monitoring and evaluation of education processes.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of e-quality assurance tablets to the Federal Ministry of Education by Dr. Bobboyi.
