FG's Underrated Videogame Music 236 - Wild Dog's Theme (Time Crisis)
Name: Wild Dog's Theme
Game: Time Crisis
Developer: Namco
Year of Release: 1995
Composer: Kazuhiro Nakamura
The first Time Crisis was revolutionary in its cover system years before Gears of War made it a central component of gameplay, and for a rail shooter that was certainly something. But the game also had with it a dramatic little soundtrack, only expanded upon in the PS1 port. But the best theme of it all is Wild Dog's Theme.
One of the most amoral bastards ever in gaming to not only willingly fuel a civil war for money, but even willing to shoot a girl in the back even when she was a somewhat-affordable hostage. The final battle with him at the top of an island's castle in the rays of the dying sun is perfectly accompanied by a fantastically stirring string quartet of epicness as shots fire back and forth between marble and stone, glinting in the final minutes of dusk.
