In this video we test out a game based upon a BBC tv series called Fightbox. If your not familiar with the tv show, it aired in 2003, and was the BBC's master creation since Robot Wars. It however failed to meet the standards and drifted into obscurity, though apparently it was good enough to make a game out of.
Fightbox allows you to create your own character, and then build him up, though its all quite basic. You then pit your character against several others, in a confusing set of games filled with obstacles and enemies out to attack you.
The game is instantly frustrating, and quite unenjoyable. And whereas the levels get easier after the first, they dont get any better. The controls were horrible, and although there were quite a few ranges of camera angle, none of them were decent enough to use other than the standard view. Attacking an enemy ended up with you chewing the metal floor, so jumping past enemies seemed the way to go.
This i a game that can really only be placed with the likes of Robot Wars, and only true fans of that type of gaming will find enjoyment here. Though id be suprised if anyone at all could say something fun about this one.
