Max Play 01 PS2 Gameplay [Unnofficial Game] ( Datel / CodeJunkies ) Playstation 2
In this video we test out one of the very few unnofficial Playstation 2 releases. This one titled Max Play 01, and at one time was quite a desirable PS2 game to own.
The word "unnofficial" was what made me eager to test this one out. I was expecting some clones of popular games, or some PC conversions or something on those lines. Yet what we were presented with, was a disc thrown together with some of the worst developed flash based games of retro rip-offs you could ever think of.
The level of design on this disc can be compared to something you expect to see on a spectrum 128k +2. I can only assume this disc was unnofficial due to the fact it would of been a disgrace for Sony to have associated itself with it, and compared to some of the shovelware the ps2 has, thats really saying something.
The best part of this disc is the music, though it seems like theyre all straight midi composures, it wouldnt suprise me if the disc is running a version of WinAmp in order to play them. CodeJunkies seemed to be proud enough of this release to allow users to link up via internet and share game scores. Its one of the only PS2 games to utilise the internet features, but i dont think anyone could put aside the shame of buying this game enough to show they wasted a life gaining a high score on any of the games on offer.
Max Play is only a game you should own only due to its terrible design. You definately wont find any fun here.
