Fighting Force 64 Game Sample - N64
Original Air Date: October 4th, 2009
This is the N64 version of Fighting Force, a game originally made for the Playstation. I had fun playing this game with my friends on the Playstation, but the N64 version is slower and it might be buggier than I remember the Playstation version being. Gunshots can go right through enemies even when you're standing in front of them and the characters' moves seem slower and less effective in general. Ironically, despite what I've said, the game seems easier than I remember the Playstation game being too.
The game isn't upgraded in any real way and has no major extra features whatsoever. It's a lot like Mega Man 64 in that regard. The game is okay, but if you have a Playstation, you should look into the PS Fighting Force instead. It was made about a year and a half earlier and is better overall.
To summarize the game, it's a lot like a 3D Streets of Rage, but it's not as good as Streets of Rage, but it's still pretty good. You can choose from one or two of four characters (two males and two females) who can beat thugs and bad guys up with various attacks and weapons that can be picked up or salvaged from the environments. The characters could have used a bit more diversity. As they stand, with the exception of Smasher, the rest are barely any different on a technical level, but just playing with a friend is pretty neat. The game has branching pathes and a few secrets, but is still noted for being pretty short. Enjoy.
