FF7 New Threat Mod: https://forums.qhimm.com
FF7 was made by Squaresoft/Square Enix.

As you may have expected, Safer Sephiroth is much easier than the ordeal we had to go through to defeat the previous form. I have Aerith equipped with more of a physical damage setup, with things like X-Attack (4x Cut), Counter Attack and Long Range. Long Range is important so that we can actually reach Sephiroth when he ascends into the air. It seems that on this mod, Sephiroth uses Super Nova much earlier than he normally does. Anyway, the strategy is quite simple. Safer Sephiroth always casts Reflect on his first turn, which we could care less about because we're not going to be casting any spells on him. We put up both Star Curtain and use a Speed Drink here. Next is Shadow Flare, which we'll survive quite easily (if it gets through Mystile, that is) due to Guard Ring. At this point, we can just start beating him down with X-Attack; with Aerith's current setup, it does around 3.2k per hit. I could've tried using a Hero Drink II, but I believe it would have gotten blocked because of Aerith having poison protection.

Super Nova comes on turn 5. I 'think' this is hidden damage but not certain; on one test, Cid took 8k from it, while Aerith, with MBarrier active, took around 4.2k damage, so maybe it is. We want to make sure we have enough HP to survive it beforehand, for sure. After that, if Aerith counters with Cure 3, she can just continue with X-Attacks doing around 12k per turn, needless to say, Safer Sephiroth doesn't last long afterwards.

GG! This was a fun run.
