Final Fantasy IV Advance - Part 26: Brachioraidos & Zeromus EG
On the way to Brachioraidos & Zeromus EG there's a place where you can constantly fight Bombs. Bombs that drop the Bomb summon. Without moving. Well, I decide that I should try for the summon here. Just help the speed and the a button. They're easy fights. I get the Bomb Summon at 15:18 so skip to here to see me leaving the area.
I fight Brachioraidos at 32:15. I won't go into detaill about the fight, as I've done that in part 28. I didn't intend to get the Tornado to proc in this fight, it's not that frequent, but it did so whatever. That's pretty muh why I solo'd him with Rydia later. I used Flare with Rydia because of how he counters Bahamut.
Edward's great for this fight. His Loki's Lute will do a lot of damage and he has Chant which helps for a while anyway. He'd do a better job than Edge in all honesty. If you have any Lunar Grimoires you want to use, do so. They all inflict 9999 damage, although you may want to save them for Zeromus EG.
Finally there's Zeromus EG.
He is essentially a buffed up Zeromus, not as tough as Brachioraidos in my opinion, but at the same time there's no strategy that will comfortably beat him every time. The only help is being high level and having either a White Mage or Elixirs/Megaelixirs. For the 'average' fight of just doing stuff it's easier than Brachioraidos though.
Float helps a lot. He'll use a Earthquake/Flame/Lightning attack when high on HP that won't do too much with Float. He does open with Big Bang but his other attacks other than Flare are nothing to worry about when he's high on HP, so you'll easily outheal.
When he's low he'll use a Tidal Wave/Tornado combo and physical attacks either a 2 or 5 hit combo. This shouldn't be too much to deal with. Every time you attack him in this state he'll heal with absorb, and it will start replenishing less as his HP goes down.
When it's pretty much dead it will do a 10hit combo that will hurt. It will likely kill one party member, and might hurt a couple of others. You could always be cheap and use the Grimoires. Lunar Dragon turns him into a Toad temporarily, he'll have 1 defense and 1 attack in this form so yeah he'll take a temporary pummeling.
There's not much left to do now. Track down some bestiary entries I've missed and the last two trials. The final part gets the final summon and shows Rydia v Brachioraidos, which you can already see.
