Final Fantasy IV [PC] Playthrough #049, NG+: Troia Castle; Lodestone Cavern: Dark Elf

Previously, the party acquired Cagnazzo's Tsunami augment from the Ancient Waterway and the twins' augments from the Elder of Mysidia. They explored the towns of Agart, Mythril, and Troia. Now, they will check out Troia Castle. Then, they will head to the Lodestone Cavern to pursue the Dark Elf.
The party resumes on the Overworld in the Troia region. They gear up for the Lodestone Cavern. Then, they enter Troia Castle.
Troia Castle (time 1:13):
The party chats with the NPCs in Troia Castle. Some have useful information.
In the east wing of the castle, there are three stairways leading down. The western stairway leads to a dungeon-turned-treasury that the party cannot access yet. Down the middle stairway to B1, the party finds a Bacchus's Wine in the southeast pot.
Down the eastern stairway to B1, there are four rooms, each with two treasure chests. In all, the party finds two Tents, two Hi-Potions, two Ethers, and two Ruby Rings. The Ruby Rings are a definite hint!
On floor 2F north of the entrance hall, the party finds the eight Epopts, Troia's leaders. Sadly, the Dark Elf has stolen the Earth Crystal and spirited it away to his lair in the Lodestone Cavern! He has magnetized the cavern's walls to prevent the crystal's recovery. If the party retrieves the crystal, though, the Epopts will let them borrow it.
The Infirmary is in the west wing of the castle. There, the party finds none other than Edward! A scene takes place. Whey they reveal that they are after the Dark Elf, Edward gives them a key item, the Whisperweed.
The party exits to the Overworld.
Overworld (time 14:06):
The party heads north from Troia.
Tellah reaches Level 25.
At the northern end of the region, they find the Chocobo Village.
Chocobo Village (time 15:28):
The Chocobo Village is a special Chocobo Forest where a Black Chocobo is available. The party chats with the helpful White Chocobo to recover their MP.
In the northwest of the Chocobo Village, there is a hidden container with Gysahl Greens. In the same patch of grass where the Black Chocobo wanders, there is another hidden container with Gysahl Greens. To the east of this, there is a hidden container with Gysahl Greens.
The party snags the Black Chocobo.
Overworld (time 16:54):
Aboard the Black Chocobo, the party can fly around slowly. They cannot direct the bird to fly over mountains. They can only land in a forest.
The party flies east to the heavily forested island. They land outside the cave entrance. After saving, they head inside.
Lodestone Cavern (time 18:06):
A scene takes place as the party enters the Lodestone Cavern. Everyone must remove their metal gear, aside from Yang's claws. Otherwise, they will be permanently paralyzed in battle. If everyone is wearing metallic gear, it will be an instant game over!
The party begins on floor B1.
Cid reaches Level 21. Cecil reaches Level 21. Yang reaches Level 25.
In the northeast of B1, the party finds a chest with a Hi-Potion.
In the southwest of B1, a chest contains a Unicorn Horn.
The party continues downstairs to floor B2.
In the southwest of B2, a chest contains an Ether.
Cid reaches Level 22. Cecil reaches Level 22.
In the northeast of B2, a doorway leads to a room.
Tellah reaches Level 26.
In this room, the northwest chest contains 2,000 gil. The northeast chest contains an Ether.
The party returns to the main part of B2.
Yang reaches Level 26.
In the northwest of B2, the party finds a stairway leading down to B3.
The next doorway leads to a save room. The party rests and saves.
Cecil reaches Level 23.
In the southeast of B3, a door leads to a room. The three chests contain a Hi-Potion, a Spider Silk, and a Bronze Hourglass.
Cid reaches Level 23.
In the northwest of B3, the party takes the doorway to a hallway.
Tellah reaches Level 27.
The chest in this hallway contains a set of Faerie Claws. This is a welcome upgrade for Yang. They can inflict confuse, and they also deal extra damage to giants, which are plentiful in this cave.
Cecil reaches Level 24.
To the west, the party continues downstairs to floor B4.
Yang reaches Level 27.
Cid reaches Level 24.
In the northwest of B4, a chest contains an Emergency Exit.
The eastern door leads to a convenient save room. The party rests and saves again.
