Final Fantasy IV Playthrough - EP19: That is no Zaku, boy!
One obvious thing about many old games is how the ending stages seem somewhat rushed all of a sudden. So much for the giant and now we are entering the final stretches of the game! But it works. In the 3D DS remake you can fight one giant as a superboss after the game and similarly in the PSP version of The After Years sequel.
Lunar Subterrane is a pretty tough final dungeon and as was apparent inside the giant, the enemies got faster and tougher while I might struggle for MP. On the flip side, Rydia learned Quake so that solves many problems ;)
The CPU is actually a pretty tricky boss and you have to follow what Fusoya suggests. When you know what you are doing, it is easy but if you do not, it can get dangerous. The CPU can only cast Reflect on itself and when it runs out but otherwise does nothing. The Attack System can only shoot lasers and the Defense System can only often heal the CPU for 3000 HP. What you have to do is to destroy the CPU before BOTH of the systems so preferably you destroy the Defense System first and then the CPU. If you destroy both systems first then the CPU starts murdering people with Globe199. It is one hit death to a single person and you cannot block it. The CPU kills two characters and then revives both systems and starts over.
