Final Fantasy IV - stream 7
8Story recap: After having defeated Doctor Lugae and learning of the cannons aimed at the dwarves, the party rushes to the cannon room, and Yang sacrifices himself to stop them. Golbez catches the party leaving the Tower of Babil, and collapses the exit bridge under them. Cid arrives in the nick of time with a repaired Enterprise and saves them from their fall. An upgraded airship from the Red Wings chases after the Enterprise, and Cid jumps off as they return to the surface, detonating a bomb that seals the passage between the two worlds.
The party travels to Eblan, where the ninja warriors who lived near the top of the Tower of Babil have taken refuge from Golbez's monsters in a nearby cave. Their prince, Edge, had been leading an excavation effort toward the tower in order to attack it and get revenge. The party catches up with him as he fights with Rubicante and loses. He joins the party, and the five of them enter the tower again, this time starting at the top and working downward, sights still set on the seven crystals in Golbez's possession.
They find the crystal room guarded by Rubicante, and defeat him. As they attempt to claim the crystals, a trapdoor drops them down into the underworld portion of the tower again. They find a parked Red Wings airship and take it, naming it the Falcon. Without easy access to the top portion of the tower, they return to king Giott to see how the battle is going. He worries that Golbez is close to forcing entry into the sealed cave, and sends them to retrieve the crystal from it and move it to a safer location. Cid is found alive in the castle's infirmary, having been rescued from the rubble by the dwarves, and he modifies the Falcon to be able to withstand the heat of the magma so that they can fly it to the sealed cave.
