Hashmalum is one of the first things I experimented on for a low-level run, and once I had him figured out, it gave me the idea for this entire run. I wanted to reach him with an entirely level 1 party, and by the time I did that, it only made sense to go the extra mile and do the full "no experience" thing.

Things aren't particularly difficult here. It follows the general playbook for all Zodiac beasts, with two castings of Demi 2. The tricky part is timing Leprue's turn so that neither Hashmalum or Relm will kill him. His natural speed of 6, without Haste (from Excalibur) winds up working out right for Hashmalum. But I had to make sure that Relm got her turn first, so I switched her to her 7 Speed configuration.

Atheme's positioning is to make sure Hashmalum stays just within Leprue's range, although honestly I could have let Atheme die on the first turn and things would have probably worked out. Still, this particular configuration seems to provoke a very consistent pattern out of Hashmalum, making for consistent victories as long as all 4 Demi 2s land.

I don't really need Abaddon for this fight, as Aveni survives through to the end, but I enjoy watching Hashmalum hit him for a whopping 16 damage with Meteor. It's also worth noting that Abaddon in his current configuration can hit Hashmalum for 600 damage a turn, meaning if I wasn't doing the "no experience" thing, he can basically solo this fight.
