Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster #028, Castle Exdeath: Carbuncle, Gilgamesh Yet Again

Previously, the party did some more job grinding at the Castle of Bal. Now, they will infiltrate Castle Exdeath, the final dungeon of the second part of the game.
Galuf's World - World Map:
The party resumes outside the Castle of Bal. They check the location listings on the world map for treasure completion. However, there is no listing for the Barrier Tower, as that location is no longer accessible.
Bartz changes his job to Freelancer and equips "!Rapid Fire" and "!Spellblade Lv. 6". Lenna changes her job to Freelancer and equips "!White Magic Lv. 6" and "!Summon Lv. 5". Krile changes her job to Freelancer and equips "!Black Magic Lv. 6" and "!Time Magic Lv. 6". Faris changes her job to Freelancer and equips "!Blue Magic" and "!Mug".
The party enters the Castle of Bal.
Castle of Bal (time 2:33):
The party chats with the castle's NPCs to see if they have anything new to say. One comments about Xezat's death, but no one says anything about Galuf.
The party leaves the castle.
World Map (time 4:23):
The party flies north and enters Quelb.
Quelb (time 4:36):
The party chats with the werewolves of Quelb. Only Kelger comments about Galuf and Xezat.
The party leaves town.
World Map (time 6:18):
The party flies to Surgate Castle and enters.
Surgate Castle (time 6:36):
The party chats with the people of Surgate Castle. A few have new dialogue, though the soldiers' dialogue is a bit repetitive. The party picks up a few additional weapons at the weapon shop.
When they have finished in Surgate, the party casts Teleport to leave quickly.
World Map (time 10:58):
The party flies to the southeastern continent. They land and enter Castle Exdeath.
Castle Exdeath (time 11:27):
The party starts on floor 1F. There, they find a few injured allies to talk to. They go north past the save room to the healing spring.
Back in the entrance room, the party takes the door north of the entrance. Then, they take the stairway.
The party arrives on floor 2F. Castle Exdeath is home to many enemy types: Twin Lizard, Blind Wolf, Hellraiser, Reflect Mage, Magic Dragon, Black Warlock, Adamantite, Golem, Bandercoeurl, Iron Fist, Blue Dragon, Red Dragon, and Yellow Dragon. Some enemy types will only appear on higher floors. If they need to, they can still learn Aeroga from Magic Dragons and Level 3 Flare from Red Dragons.
In the southeast of 2F, a chest contains a Diamond Shield. A chest in the southwest contains an Ether.
Bartz, Lenna, and Krile reach Level 36.
The party continues up to floor 3F. They enter the large western room to find a dead end. As they leave the large western room, a cutscene sequence takes place. The nature of Exdeath's domain is revealed.
After the scene, the party takes the new northern stairway to floor 4F. In the north-central part of the room, the party operates the switch to open the way to the nearby chest. The chest on 4F contains an Ice Shield.
Faris reaches Level 36.
In the southwest, the party continues up to floor 5F. There is a shortcut through the northern wall. The chest in the northeast contains an Ether.
The party takes the northeastern doorway to floor 6F. The party starts in the northeast of the floor. The lava covering part of the floor will inflict damage if the party walks on it. They can avoid taking damage by putting on Float or by using the Geomancer ability "Light Step".
In the southeast of the lava pit, a hidden passage leads east to a chest that contains the Hayate Bow. When one attacks with this, it sometimes triggers Rapid Fire. On dry ground northeast of the stairway leading up, a chest contains an Elixir.
The party continues up to floor 7F. Standing on the switch in the middle makes the bridge move. It will stop moving when they get off. A monster will attack if the bridge leads to a pulsating wall on the northern side of the pit. One of the enemies that the party can encounter in this manner is an Oiseaurare.
The northwestern chest contains an Icebrand, an ice-elemental sword. The northeastern chest contains a Kotetsu, a katana.
The northern stairway leads to a room with a save point.
The party continues north to floor 8F. Look out for Yellow Dragons, Red Dragons, and Blue Dragons. In the east of 8F, a hidden passage leads to a chest that contains an Elixir.
The party goes back downstairs to the save point. They rest with a Cottage and save.
Afterwards, they go back up to 8F. In the west, a chest contains 9,900 gil.
