Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster #033, Phantom Village; Around the World on a Chocobo

Previously, the party revisited a few locations in the Merged World. At the Pirates' Hideout, they learned the Summon spell Syldra. At Castle Kuza, they obtained their first three Sealed Weapons. They chose the Excalibur, the Masamune, and the Sasuke's Katana. Jachol Cave took them to the basement of the Castle of Bal, where they defeated Odin and learned the Summon spell Odin. Now, the party will find Phantom Village.
Merged World - World Map:
The party resumes outside the town of Crescent. They reenter town.
Crescent (time 0:31):
The party enters the inn and chats with the NPCs in the bar. They missed chatting with them last time. They learn a little about dwarves.
Afterwards, they leave town.
World Map (time 1:39):
The party boards the airship. They fly southwest to the third forest they find along the new ring-like land formation. They disembark. As they explore the forest, they find the entrance to Phantom Village. The village's entrance can be found at a random tile in this forest.
Phantom Village (time 1:51):
Each shop in this village has two merchants. Upstairs in the inn, the party finds the item shop. This item shop sells Elixirs at 50,000 gil a pop.
As the party explores town, they chat with the NPCs. This is quite a curious location. The pub is in the northwest on the upper level.
In the west on the upper level, the party finds the magic shop. The obvious door leads to a merchant that sells some early spells. In the northwest corner of the magic shop's exterior, they find a secret entrance to the northwestern room. The merchant sells high-level magic: the White Magic spells Arise and Dispel, the Black Magic spells Death and Osmose, and the Time Magic spells Quick and Banish.
In the southeast of the upper level of town, the party finds the armor shop. One merchant is easy to reach. The party examines the box near the door to open a counter. A hidden path behind the counter leads west to the other armor shop merchant, who sells some useful stuff.
In the south on the lower level of town, the party finds the weapon shop. The main merchant is easy enough to reach.
Along the northwest of the pub's exterior, the party finds the back entrance, which leads behind the counter. One of the barrels behind the pub's counter contains the Thief Knife. This knife will occasionally steal from the target while the user is attacking.
The party takes the northwest stairway in the pub to the lower level. The NPC issues a quest: to ride around the world on a yellow Chocobo. This is now pretty easy.
The party exits south to the low ground below the magic shop. To the south, they enter a building west of the weapon shop. They use the healing pot in this building.
To the north, the party goes downstairs to a basement. To the south and east, they find a spooky door.
The party takes the northeastern stairway to the back room of the weapon shop. Here, they find the shop's second merchant, who sells Ninja supplies, including Fuma Shuriken and Twin Lances.
The party returns to the basement. They take a couple of hidden passages to the southwestern room, where they find the last piano in the game. They play Piano #8. They have now mastered the piano! If only it were this easy in real life.
The player earns the achievement "Piano Maestro" for becoming a master pianist.
The party takes the nearby stairway. They emerge in the town's western meadow. There, they find the Black Chocobo! They can ride it again.
World Map (time 11:13):
The party gains control mounted on the Black Chocobo. They land in the forest. Then, they take the airship north to Crescent.
Crescent (time 11:27):
The party goes to the Minstrel's House in the southeast. They play the piano and then talk to the bard. For mastering the piano, the bard teaches them the Bard song Hero's Rime. Hero's Rime raises the party's level while it is being performed.
The party leaves Crescent.
World Map (time 13:20):
The party flies northwest to Ghido's Cave. They enter the cave.
Ghido's Cave (time 13:49):
The party goes inside, but they find that no one is home. They Teleport out.
World Map (time 14:11):
Now, the party will ride around the world on their chocobo. They mount Boko and get started. They travel northwest to Karnak, south to Surgate, south through Quelb and Bal, southeast to the Phantom Village, northeast to Crescent, north to the site of Tycoon, northwest to Tule, and finally west to Ghido's Cave. When they return, they take the airship southeast to the Phantom Village.
