Final Fantasy VII Remake: Chapter 11: Haunted
0This was an excellent chapter. Fun boss battles and story progression were the highlights. One thing I don't love in media is when a character can somehow commune with a ghost. This walked right up to the line without stepping on or over it. It could have been a lot worse. This is one of the few moments in the game that made a section I hated in the original, fun. The original was such a boring section of climbing on and off train cars and moving them back and forth. It was so dull.
I was surprised. The development team took the graveyard moniker literally. The team leaned into it and made a positively memorable chapter of the game. I could have done with more manageable sections. There was an area in the middle where I was battling ghosts and cripshays at the same time. Ghosts and cripshays are challenging on their own, but together they were harder and took more resources from me than both of the bosses.
It was a tough section, but I had a lot of fun.
