Final Fantasy VII Remake: Chapter 14: In Search of Hope
0I didn't know what to expect. Initially, I was hoping it was only going to be around 2 hours to get through this chapter. Little did I know there were going to be nine sidequests! Thinking back the nine sidequests weren't as bad as I was expecting. They did pit you up against some powerful enemies, all of which I wasn't prepared for. On the surface, they may seem meaningless, but they did provide some depth to the world. So I didn't mind playing them once I began making progress. It was the back half of the chapter that was unbearable. Back to the sewers.
The sewers the first time were bad enough. Chapter 10 was truly forgettable with little, if any, story progression. Even though it was only an hour, it felt like a long hour. The same is true for this chapter. The back half has us traipsing through the sewers trying to get top-side. On our way to save Aerith from the grip of Shinra. Helping us along the way is Leslie, a roguish character with a surprising amount of depth and backstory.
