87Final Fantasy VIII Perfect File WITHOUT Pocketstation
After 4 long years of work, the missing link of my Final Fantasy Perfect File trio is here! Before going any further I'd like to say that I am probably the ONLY person on the planet that has accomplished this NIGHTMARE of a PF (at least put it on YouTube to show what one looks like!) and to have done it without any cheating of any kind!
This is possibly the most tedious perfect file to make out of all of the Final Fantasy titles considering the rarity of most of the items, and the refinement ratios used for most of the rare items. Not to mention keeping everyone from getting KO'd throughout.
Here are the features to the FF8PF:
1) All characters have their best weapons, have 1000 compatability with all GFs, all of thier skills 'unlocked' (This is true for Selphie since you must activate each of the 4 special spells to see them in her status menu), 9999HP and 255 of each stat (excluding Eva.) without any enhancement of any kind.....I had my party set up for the final battles which is why Luck+50% is equipped on Squall, Quistis, and Zell. When I re-shoot this video I'll remember to take off all junctions.
2) A completly maxed out item list! 100 of everything obtainable in the game. Exceptions: There are only 2 Pet Nametags available. Also the Girl Next Door, the Sorceress' Letter, and Occult Fan III & IV are uniques. NOTE: Since the Pocketstation was not available in the U.S., those items are not present. 3) NATURAL GFs.... All GF's are at LV100 and all 22 DEFAULT Abilities are learned for each. Also all shops are available in Call Shop. Since the GFs can be customizable to however you like them, you can extend the PF to have all GFs at 9999HP...10 of the 16 GFs reach max HP naturally, but it doesn't take much to max out the other 6, just don't remove any unique abilities!
Since you can customize the GF's Abilities to have whatever you want, there can be many arguments to be made as to what is the best configuration, but I just left the GFs with the abilities they are given from the start. As long as you don't remove the unique abilities, there is no big deal to make out of it....So please, NO comments about not having them done to your own personal standards!!!
4) A maxed out card inventory: 100 of every card except Pupu, and the LV8 - LV10 rare cards. 7634 cards total.
5) All SeeD Tests have been taken at the Final Save to ensure that I have an 'A' rank. I also have max Gil.
6) All entries are 'unlocked' in the Information section of the tutorial...Some of these you can actually miss!!! Also I have 3 spotless records: 1 escape (MANDATORY: X-ATM092 first encounter), No KO's for any character, No Kills or KO's for all GFs. And the Proof of Omega obtained.
7) The timer is maxed out at 599hrs 59min. In reality, I would estimate I have put 15,000hrs into this baby! That includes the 9-months I let the game run non-stop for the Angelo Search!
Additionally I would say I played over 30,000 games of Triple Triad and spent over 25,000 battles stealing from Tri-Faces in the DSRC to make Dark Matters which basically turn into Luck Ups. That is over 50% of all the battles fought on the entire file!

After I re-load this video with sound, and load some OTK's...I will retire from Final Fantasy...I can finally put up the old playstation and work on some Kingdom Hearts stuff again.
