Final Fantasy X-2 - Part 37 - Angra Mainyu HD Remaster Version (No Cat Nip + Trigger Happy Exploit)
0The reason I put the HD Remaster version in the title is that the Cat Nip exploit is no longer working with Trigger Happy, like many of the other versions show. But you can still use the accessory, granted you will be pairing it with a Speed Bracer.
Setup:
Yuna - Thief - Cat Nip + Speed Bracer
Rikku - Alchemist - Crystal Bangle + Defense Bracer
Paine - Dark Knight - Crystal Bangle + Speed Bracer
For my strategy, I ended up having Paine inflict Darkness consistently while Rikku acted as a healer for Paine. Because of Rikku having mastered the Chemist ability, every Hi-Potion heals for 2000 instead of 1000. Keep using them on Paine while she inflicts Darkness to kill off Tawrich and Zarich. With those out of the way, all that leaves is Yuna. Have her be in caution (yellow HP), and she automatically attack the boss. If done correctly, with Paine having taken out the other two, Yuna will be inflicting 9999 x2 every time she attacks, and because the only one left is Angra Mainyu, that will inflict nearly 20,000 points every time.
With this strategy, it shouldn't take long at all. I would highly recommend your characters at max level 99, that way they get the most out of their HP and other stats. Whichever character is your Alchemist, make sure they have mastered Chemist as it will help tremendously in using Hi-Potions throughout the fight. Remember to keep an eye on your thief and always make sure to use Darkness to keep Tawrich and Zarich dead throughout the fight.
After several minutes of fighting, you will have beaten Angra Mainyu and you can now finish digging the rest of the parts to fight Experiment at Djose Temple.

*Note* - For those wondering why my last video was showing my characters at around level 80, I finished up the remaining leveling in Thunder Plains without recording it. Didn't seem necessary and it's just another hour of leveling them up for the endgame bosses/content.
