Final Fantasy X-2 - Part 40 - Unlocking Chocobo Dungeon
0To unlock the Chocobo Dungeon in Clasko's Ranch, there's quite a bit of things to do before getting there. What you'll need are four level 1 chocobos and have raise them up to level 5. The problem comes in finding enough chocobos to reach level 5. Out of nearly twenty of mine, only one was able to hit max level. For this section, I would highly recommend saving before talking to Clasko and leveling up your chocobos. That way if it doesn't work out the way you want, you can always soft reset.
In order to unlock the dungeon, after you have four level 1 chocobos, talk to Clasko and send all four out to the Calm Lands. Fight seven battles and then return. Make sure to save after your seven battles. Once that's done, talk with Clasko. If any of the four didn't return, reset until they all do. Once they have, feed them to restore their health and level them up. Keep doing this until level 5, at which point you'll send them out one last time, and it should unlock the dungeon.
The big problem is getting enough chocobos to level 5. If only one of them does, you don't have to start all over. But you will need to keep hunting for chocobos until you get at least three, I believe. Bold chocobos are more likely to be raised to a higher level. They can be found in the following areas: Kilika Island, Thunder Plains and Bikanel Desert. Now you see why I mentioned those three places last video.
The hardest part is getting good enough RNG to get enough level 5 chocobos. Once you do, make sure to save, send them off to the Calm Lands one last time and then return after seven battles. Once that happens, the dungeon should be unlocked and you should be able to finish it for an second Episode Complete of the Calm Lands.
*Note* - You can have too many chocobos at the ranch and if you have too many, Clasko will get rid of some. Make sure to only keep the higher level ones if that is the case, otherwise Clasko might get rid of a level 5 one that you've raised.
