This is the PC HD remaster version using the original soundtrack.
Please note that there are some technical issues and flaws present within the game. Most notable is that occasionally the background sound will click. There's nothing that I can do about this as it has nothing to do with my setup or recording method. You can watch any playthrough of any version of the remaster and it will feature this, unfortunately.
I don't have save states this time around and even if I did, hard transitions are in fact very rare in this game. There's almost always some sort of background sound playing. I did my best to minimize the amount of additional sound disruption caused by my edits. This is a fairly lengthy game and doing it all in one sitting perfectly isn't an option for me.
I include random encounters as the story requires me to move through each area. Random encounters are a part of the game. The game is also installed on an SSD, so the load times are pretty much non-existent.
Gameplay Notes
FFX has some amount of optionable content that becomes available when you get the airship. I won't be showing all of the optional content but I will be showing myself gathering the two remaining Aeons and dueling at Remiem temple. This ties up a side story with a character encountered on the journey and reveals some more backstory for another. It is the only optional content with story relevance. Everything else is pure gameplay to reward players who want to spend time maximizing their power.
In order to receive Anima, you have to use the destruction sphere in each Cloister of Trials. The one for Zanarkand cannot be done until after the story scenes there and you get the airship.
The ultimate weapons for each character allow them to break the damage limit as well as providing other powerful effects. When you apply the relevant crest to an ultimate weapon, such as the Moon Crest I looted way back in Besaid, it causes one of the aeons to break the damage limit. Ifrit requires Wakka's ultimate weapon which is obtained through Blitzball. I don't enjoy Blitzball, so I didn't do it and thus Ifrit is the only one unable to instantly kill his opponent at Remiem Temple.
During the final sections, I take advantage of the No Encounter weapon that the boss of Baaj Temple drops. Everything in these areas are trivial to deal with, even the behemoths and malboros but the encounter rate is as high as it was during the Gagazet climb. I did a few practice runs through the Sea of Sorrow and it typically took ~16 minutes to loot all of the chests and get to the other side while dealing encounters versus the ~3 it takes with no encounters. With the ending just a few screens away, I felt it best to get there quickly instead of drawing it out.
During the City of Dying Dreams section, the first glyph symbol you encounter requires you to kill 35 enemies in the area before it will move. I did this off-screen. The second later on doesn't have any requirements.
