Previously, Heorot ventured through Ranguemont Pass northeast of San d'Oria to Beaucedine Glacier. There, he reached Level 39 as Red Mage. Also, he experienced the color Indigo during a snowstorm for the Carbuncle's Ruby. The last color is Red, which will occur during a heatwave. So, Heorot will switch to White Mage and check areas that get heatwave weather. He will also train in the Valkurm Dunes.

Heorot resumes at his Mog House in Bastok. He switches jobs to Level 25 White Mage with Red Mage as support job. After gearing up, he heads out to Bastok Mines.

Bastok Mines (time 2:13):

Heorot uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to Rolanberry Fields in the Derfland region.

Rolanberry Fields (time 3:00):

Rolanberry Fields is celebrating Halloween, but it is not experiencing a heatwave. So, Heorot uses the Survival Guide at G-6 to teleport to Meriphataud Mountains in Aragoneu.

Meriphataud Mountains (time 3:44):

Meriphataud Mountains is not experiencing any special weather conditions. So, Heorot uses the Survival Guide at E-5 to teleport to Valkurm Dunes in Zulkheim.

Valkurm Dunes (time 4:22):

Valkurm Dunes is not experiencing heatwave weather. Heorot will stick around to train.

Heorot uses the Field Manual at H-7. He takes on the Page 5 individual training to defeat 4 Thread Leeches and 2 members of the Goblin family per training regime.

The Goblins are pretty easy to find, since they appear throughout the area. The Thread Leeches are a little more sporadic. Heorot finds some on the Siren Sands east of Selbina and around the oasis east of the Outpost.

After a little work, Heorot uses the Survival Guide at H-7 to teleport to Bastok Mines.

Bastok Mines (time 17:27):

Heorot visits the vendor in the Chocobo Stables to sell off a little loot. Then, he heads to the Residential Area.

Mog House (time 19:02):

Heorot steps into his Mog House to recover his MP and to put a couple of items into his Mog Safe. Then, he heads back out.

Bastok Mines (time 19:48):

Heorot talks to Crying Wind, I.M., at H-10 to refresh his Signet. Then, he uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to return to Valkurm Dunes in Zulkheim.

Valkurm Dunes (time 21:17):

In Valkurm Dunes, Heorot continues targeting Goblins and Thread Leeches for individual training.

Soon, Heorot reaches Level 26 as White Mage.

Also, as of recording this video, I learned that you can freely remove and store items in the Mog Wardrobes through the View House menu. Useful indeed!

From a Goblin Leecher, Heorot acquires a Scroll of Barpoison. He uses it to learn the White Magic spell Barpoison. This buff provides resistance to poison.

Heorot reaches Level 27 as White Mage.

Near midday, Heorot heads to the Survival Guide at H-7. He teleports to Rolanberry Fields in Derfland.

Rolanberry Fields (time 52:04):

Apparently, a pumpkin is present, but a heatwave certainly is not. Heorot uses the Survival Guide at G-6 to teleport to Meriphataud Mountains in Aragoneu.

Meriphataud Mountains (time 53:01):

Meriphataud Mountains is not experiencing any special weather conditions. Heorot uses the Survival Guide at E-5 to teleport to Valkurm Dunes in Zulkheim.

Valkurm Dunes (time 53:41):

Heorot runs south to Selbina.

Selbina (time 55:37):

Heorot visits the Weavers' Guild to sell off some loot and duplicate gear. He also visits a Nomad Moogle to put an item into storage. He rests near the town gates.

Next time, Heorot will finish up in the Valkurm Dunes and then move on to Rolanberry Fields to train against stronger monsters.
