Previously, Heorot continued training as White Mage in the Rolanberry Fields against Berry Grubs and Quadav. He has reached Level 32. He will now carry out some more training and then travel to the Altepa Desert on Zepwell Island, where it may be easier to find heatwave weather for the Carbuncle's Ruby.

Bastok Mines:

Upon resuming, Heorot has just teleported to the Bastok Mines. He sells off some loot and duplicate equipment to the vendor in the Chocobo Stables. Then, he heads to the Residential Area.

Mog House (time 1:19):

After a little inventory management, Heorot heads back out.

Bastok Mines (time 2:28):

Heorot puts a stack of Earth Crystals up for sale on the auction house. It's been a slow week for sales. Hopefully, they'll pick up this weekend.

Then, Heorot uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to Meriphataud Mountains in the Aragoneu region.

Meriphataud Mountains (time 3:44):

There are no special weather conditions in the Meriphataud Mountains. Heorot uses the Survival Guide at E-5 to teleport to Valkurm Dunes, Zulkheim.

Valkurm Dunes (time 4:22):

There is also no special weather in Valkurm Dunes. So, Heorot uses the Survival Guide at H-7 to teleport to Rolanberry Fields, Derfland.

Rolanberry Fields (time 5:05):

In the Rolanberry Fields, Heorot calls out his Trust-y companions and continues hunting Berry Grubs and Quadav for individual training.

Heorot reaches Level 33 as White Mage.

When he is done with a training regime, Heorot uses the Survival Guide at G-6 to teleport to Bastok Mines in Bastok.

Bastok Mines (time 27:43):

Heorot sells off some more loot and duplicate gear to the vendor in the Chocobo Stables. Then, he heads to the Residential Area.

Mog House (time 29:36):

Heorot changes jobs to Level 39 Red Mage with White Mage as support. He switches around his gear before he heads out.

Bastok Mines (time 31:16):

Heorot teleports to the Bastok Markets.

Bastok Markets (time 31:38):

Heorot visits the map vendor, Karine at H-9. He picks up the Map of Korroloka Tunnel for 3,000 gil. Korroloka Tunnel leads from Zeruhn Mines to Altepa Desert. Heorot also picks up the Map of the Kusotz Region for 3,000 gil. This contains the maps of East and West Altepa Desert and the town of Rabao.

Heorot teleports back to the Bastok Mines.

Bastok Mines (time 34:43):

At D-7 in the west, Heorot enters the Zeruhn Mines.

Zeruhn Mines (time 36:29):

To go to Korroloka Tunnel, Heorot talks to Lasthenes, a sentry at the door at H-7. Fortunately, Heorot is an adventurer who has proven his worth, as Lasthenes puts it, so he can pass through.

Farther west, Heorot exits to the Korroloka Tunnel at F-7.

Korroloka Tunnel (time 38:40):

Korroloka Tunnel is still considered to be in the Gustaberg region. The shorter way is down the main lower level of the cave, but that leads past icky spiders and giants. The safer way is to take the tunnels and higher ledges. The map is segmented, so be careful navigating.

At C-9 near the western end of the tunnel, Heorot finds the zone's Survival Guide. Nice.

Heorot takes the exit at C-9 to the Eastern Altepa Desert in the Kuzotz region.

Eastern Altepa Desert (time 45:41):

Heorot starts in the east of the Eastern Altepa Desert on Zepwell Island. For now, the zone appears to be under double sandstorm weather. Based on the strength checks, Heorot may be coming to train here in the future. There are Goblins here, naturally, as well as insectoid beastmen called the Antica.

The Kusotz Outpost is at F-10 in the southwest of the Eastern Altepa Desert. There, Heorot finds and examines the zone's Survival Guide.

Also, in a depression in the northwest, Heorot finds Altepa Desert's Telepoint at G-7. He examines it to acquire the Altepa Gate Crystal, a permanent key item that allows its bearer to be teleported to the Altepa Desert by a White Mage with the spell Teleport-Altep.

Near the Telepoint, Heorot talks to Eulaclaire to rent a chocobo. He can now roam the desert in safety.

To the east of the Telepoint, there is a tunnel leading north to the Western Altepa Desert, but Heorot does not find it yet. So, he takes the long way. He uses the exit at F-9 to the Western Altepa Desert.

Western Altepa Desert (time 57:11):

Heorot starts at H-10 in the south of the zone. Look out for deep, excavated walkways in the area.

At K-5 in the northeast, Heorot dismounts and exits to the town of Rabao.
