Previously, Heorot finished hunting Antica in the Western Altepa Desert and reached Level 61. Now, he will do "Riding on the Clouds", which will raise the Level Limit to 70. This quest is pretty easy as long as you have a guide.

Heorot resumes at his Mog House in Bastok. In his delivery box, he finds payment for a Fire Cluster that sold on the auction house. Thank you, purchaser!

Heorot teleports to Ru'Lude Gardens, Jeuno.

Ru'Lude Gardens (time 1:54):

Heorot talks to Maat at H-5. Maat issues the quest "Riding on the Clouds". First, Heorot must acquire four Kindred's Seals. Any monster over Level 50 that yields experience points can drop a Kindred's Seal. Then, Maat will provide four hints. Each hint describes a person in one of the starting cities, in Selbina, or in Mhaura. Here is a guide that I found with the hints:

Heorot must trade a Kindred's Seal to each of the appropriate individuals in return for a strange stone. Once he gets all four strange stones, he must bring them back to Maat. In my case, Maat gives the following hints:

1. A girl whose fiancé is all the way in Selbina.

2. A lady looking for another tasty frog.

3. An old man running the Consortium warehouses.

4. A pioneer of the Palborough Mines.

For the first hint, Heorot teleports to Mhaura in the Kolshushu region.

Mhaura (time 5:36):

At G-8 in the Goldsmith's Guild, Heorot finds Celestina. She is the "girl whose fiancé is all the way in Selbina". When Heorot trades a Kindred's Seal to Celestina, he receives a Spirited Stone, a temporary key item.

For the second hint, Heorot teleports to Windurst Woods.

Windurst Woods (time 7:53):

At K-10 just north of Leviathan's Gate, Heorot finds Sola Jaab. She is the "lady looking for another tasty frog". When Heorot trades a Kindred's Seal to Sola Jaab, he receives a Somber Stone.

For the third hint, Heorot teleports to Port San d'Oria.

Port San d'Oria (time 10:19):

At H-9 in Cargo Room B, Heorot finds Fontoumant. He is the "old man running the Consortium warehouses". When Heorot trades a Kindred's Seal to Fontoumant, he receives a Smiling Stone. Fontoumant is also a quest-giver, but Heorot does not accept his quest. At least not yet.

For the final hint, Heorot teleports to Bastok Mines.

Bastok Mines (time 13:02):

At J-6 in an upper house on Ore Street, Heorot finds Babenn. He is the "pioneer of the Palborough Mines". When Heorot trades a Kindred's Seal to Babenn, he receives a Scowling Stone. Heorot now has all four stones, so it is time to report to Maat.

Heorot teleports to Ru'Lude Gardens, Jeuno.

Ru'Lude Gardens (time 16:28):

Heorot reports to Maat at H-5. "Riding on the Clouds" complete! Heorot's level limit is increased from 65 to 70. Would that all level limit quests were this easy!

Now, Heorot will prepare to go to Kuftal Tunnel for his next stage of training. Of course, he will need a map. He teleports to Lower Jeuno.

Lower Jeuno (time 18:36):

At H-7 in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Heorot talks to Promurouve, a map merchant. He picks up the Map of Kuftal Tunnel, which covers Kuftal Tunnel. He also picks up the Map of the Vollbow Region, which covers Cape Teriggan, the Valley of Sorrows, and Gustav Tunnel.

Heorot teleports to Windurst Waters.

Windurst Waters (time 21:21):

In the southern part of Windurst Waters, Heorot visits the Federal Magic Reserve at G-8. From Hilkomu-Makimu, he picks up a Scroll of Thunder II. He uses it to learn the Black Magic spell Thunder II. He now has all the single-targeting tier-two elemental attack spells. Unfortunately, this leaves him with insufficient funds for a Scroll of Dispel from the other merchant.

Heorot teleports to Port Windurst.

Port Windurst (time 23:35):

Heorot visits the Consulate of Bastok at E-6. He talks to Sachetan, I.M., to renew his Signet.

Now, it is time to get underway to Kuftal Tunnel. Heorot uses the Survival Guide at B-5 to teleport to Rabao, Kuzotz.

Rabao (time 25:26):

Upon arrival, Heorot sets his current home point to Home Point #1 at F-10. Then, he talks to Guinavie at G-10 to rent a chocobo.

Western Altepa Desert (time 26:37):

Heorot starts mounted in the Western Altepa Desert. West of Rabao and northeast of Revelation Rock, he finds the exit at I-5 to Kuftal Tunnel, Vollbow.
