Previously, Heorot carried out Bastok Mission 6-1: "Return of the Talekeeper" and exposed a hoax aimed at Bastok's Galka population. Then, he continued training on Cape Teriggan and reached Level 75 as Red Mage. Now, he will collect a key item that will assist with future leveling.

Heorot resumes at his Mog House in Bastok. In his delivery box, he finds money for several crystal stacks that sold on the auction house. My thanks to the buyers!

Heorot heads out to Bastok Mines.

Bastok Mines (time 1:01):

Heorot uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to Ru'Lude Gardens, Jeuno.

Ru'Lude Gardens (time 2:09):

At H-5, Heorot talks to the Nomad Moogle near Maat. Since Heorot has reached Level 75, the Nomad Moogle invites him to participate in his experiment. Oh, that sounds TOTALLY safe, kupo! Here is how I understand the situation. When you reach your level limit starting at Level 75, you will stop earning experience points and start learning limit points instead. Every 10,000 experience points you earn, you will earn a merit point. The Nomad Moogle offers a method that allows the character to earn limit points at will, provided the character's current main job is at Level 75 or higher. One use of merit points is to adjust a character's attributes. Sounds pretty useful! Another use is for level limit quests.

Heorot talks to the Nomad Moogle again and agrees to be his assistant in this totally safe experiment. The Nomad Moogle gives Heorot the Limit Breaker, a permanent key item. Through the Merit Points option under Status in the main menu, Heorot can now switch between earning experience points and earning limit points as desired.

Heorot switches his mode to earning limit points. He will need 3 merit points for the upcoming level limit quest.

Heorot teleports to Lower Jeuno.

Lower Jeuno (time 11:29):

Lower Jeuno is experiencing a different background music track for the holiday event. Festive.

Heorot visits Waag-Deeg's Magic Shop at H-9. He peruses Susu's available Black Magic, but he cannot afford Thunder III right now. No problem.

Heorot teleports back to Ru'Lude Gardens.

Ru'Lude Gardens (time 13:27):

Heorot uses the Survival Guide at I-10 to teleport to Cape Teriggan, Vollbow.

Cape Teriggan (time 14:23):

On Cape Teriggan, Heorot continues hunting Velociraptors and Sand Cockatrices, this time to earn limit points. Now that he is in limit point mode, any battle that normally yields experience points will yield limit points instead. At 10,000 limit points, he will earn a merit point.

After Heorot has earned 3 merit points, he uses the Survival Guide at the Outpost at G-8 to teleport to Bastok Mines.

Bastok Mines (time 57:56):

At Bastok Mines, Heorot sells off excess loot to Neigepance at the Chocobo Stables. Then, he heads to the Residential Area.

Mog House (time 1:00:25):

At home, Heorot logs off. Next time, he will do the next level limit quest. He already has everything he needs.
