The quickest way to end the pre-battle with Hope solo is to kill him, and the fastest way to achieve that is to paradigm shift twice--this entices Ushumgal Subjugator to attack, for some reason. Throw a Libra in after the first paradigm shift, and pause for a little bit before doing the second shift.

When Fang and Lightning show up, Retry to set up paradigms and stuff. I included the menu for the sake of a continuous video.

Ushumgal Subjugator has too much HP to be able to kill in one stagger in a speedrun setting, so he must be staggered twice. Spamming Slow is Fang's best means of chaining, as well as adding a very healthy amount of chain duration for the sake of stagger. Potions must be thrown before the first stagger in order to keep Lightning and Hope alive; this also allows for Adrenaline to trigger on Fang, increasing her damage by 20%. After stagger, stay focused on Lightning; ATB refresh after her third string of Thundaras, and be sure to cancel her ready animation. When the chain is maxed, try to COM-buffer one of her Thundaras via Aggression. When stagger is close to ending, try to time Fang's Attacks to trigger Smite for extra damage.

After the first stagger ends, he will focus attacks on a single target. By utilizing Fang's SEN via Mystic Tower, we can ensure he hits Fang. He charges for a bit before attacking, so take advantage of the time by utilizing Smart Bomb. Then use Mystic Tower to redirect his attention to Fang, and throw Potions to maintain Adrenaline. Once staggered, follow the same pattern as the first stagger to kill him.
