First time running it for our entire Duty Finder Party lol but it went better than expected in most regards.

5:36-Karlabos battle: This one is nasty and depends on the healer. The healer needs to remove the debuff off the party members before it uses it's Tail Screw. Also note you CAN stun him but only once per battle it seems so you can interrupt the move at least once. The timing was off for our attempt at doing so hence it didn't work. Tail Screw is nasty though it will reduce you to critical HP when it hits!

This battle was...REALLY awful in this video honestly. I mean we won but with only two people left standing. We were all first timers and did NOT consult any guides. Lastly this IS the crab from Final Fantasy V lol I was right.

16:37 Captain Madison battle: The hardest boss by far in this new dungeon. Kill the adds starting with the conjurer and then focus on the boss. He'll move around a lot, stunning party members and then occasionally will use his gun and attempt to gun down one party member relentlessly. I'm not sure HOW it works exactly but we tried going behind him and it seemed to work, he stopped. The other theory is that hitting him hard enough stops his gunfire too. No one really seems to know right now.

He'll summon more adds once again, deal with them. The crawling adds called Slaves MUST die first as they'll bind you just like the ones in PS.

When he reached 30% the strategy was to use melee limit break and then burn him down. Once he's down to 15% or so he'll run away but summon adds. Once more focus on the slaves and it'll be over, the rest of the adds aren't tough.

Hate him, he wiped us so many times before this. Tank looked up this strategy and it worked as you see.

27:28-Kraken battle: REALLY easy In our opinions. Kill the arms and aim for the Kraken itself, I don't think the tentacles need to die but we at times killed them anyhow. However the arms MUST die to prevent him from using Stranger Tides, which I believe will wipe you. We never failed to kill them so we never found out.

He'll grab you and toss you into his AoE, he'll do the ink debuff again but...Nothing really worth writing about here. He'll eventually start having more arms/tentacles but that's it. Kill the Kraken itself and win.

This is the nastiest of the dungeons in 2.4 IMO, Sastasha Hard Mode! Why exactly? Some annoying mobs, the bosses hit real hard and their mechanics aren't the easiest and love to target people whom aren't the tank. It's only the last boss we found to be a bit of a joke. This is also probably the longest dungeon. It seems Qarn is really the only speedrun friendly one this patch.

Also note the Antique pieces of gear are gear anyone can need on, you can exchange them for ilevel 90 gear of your choosing, a good way to gear up your ninja provided you win the rolls. It's a shame though, I always fail to win minions I want but I win these gear pieces I am not really into lol since I am slacking on my Rogue leveling, I want to get my Summoner/Black Mage and Warrior some better gear first.

Story is:
Tucked deep inside the dank caverns of the Sastasha Seagrot, there is a secret port said to have been built by the pirate Mistbeard. In the years following the Calamity, the notorious Serpent Reavers claimed it as their lair, until the cutthroats were vanquished by a band of dauntless adventurers. The place subsequently came under the control of Lominsan authorities, who maintained a security presence within. Alas, that control did not last, for an unknown faction has arisen─seemingly from the briny depths─and overwhelmed the occupying Yellowjackets. Opinion is divided over the identity of these foes. Some say that they are pirates, while others swear that they are fiends. Yet it does not take a scholar to see that these two things need not be mutually exclusive.

And if you're curious, the quest afterwards explains how they became that way.

Lastly, the music is pretty cool but a bit more upbeat than I was expecting lol. More heroic/adventurous than you'd think, I do like the piratey sounding part. Eh nothing will probably ever be as dark or messed up as TTD Hard. It does take pieces of the original Sastasha theme I noticed too of course.
