Returning to The Aurum Vale now in 60 FPS and with greater knowledge. Also this run went WAAAY better. This one is only about 29 mins compared to the 40+ minutes my first run went for.

7:40-Locksmith boss fight. The main gimmick of the fight is the DoT stacks he will apply to you called Gold Lung. Once you hit 2-3 stacks of it you need to eat Morbol Fruit or you'll probably die from DoT damage. If you have 4 and haven't eaten one you'll most likely be dead already. So make sure everyone stands by or marks their fruit. Our tank marked theirs and I stood by mine. Other than that just DPS him fast but keep track of your Gold Lung stacks. Healer intensive. And the fruit of course grows back eventually.

15:06-Coincounter boss fight. This one isn't so bad. It just involves a lot of dodging. If you are a melee do note his attacks do NOT have ground indicators so you'll have to dodge/stun them when he's using them. His tell for 100 Tonze Swipe Frontal is holding his mace in one hand. His tell for 100 Tonze Swing is holding his mace in both hands so get away from him. Staying away from the front of him makes life easier. Ranged DPS players also need to stay on their toes since he has an eye laser move called Glower to hit them so stay away from other ranged players. When it says, "The Coincounter takes a moment to reconsider" He is going to use Eye of the Beholder a frontal cone AoE which needs to be stunned or dodged.

24:52-Miser's Mistress boss fight. The last boss. She is a mean Morbol who uses Bad Breath and such, thus she needs to be tanked facing away from the party. Avoid her AoEs but just like the first boss she applies DoTs to your party called Burr this time. When you have 2-4 stacks of it eat a Morbol Fruit or you'll probably die. The fruit will respawn after a certain amount of time.

Near 50% or so she'll spawn some Adds, kill them ASAP before they hatch or they'll wipe your party. How? They apply Burr stacks with each attack if allowed to hatch! So use everything you can to take them out and then back on the boss. DPS her down and that's it.

Do note this isn't a VG, I don't know why people don't bother to read anymore. If you want a quick VG go to MTQcapture's channel instead. She does them best and fastest for FFXIV. Her vids are also on the wiki.

I am not trying to do that, this is a run-through or a playthrough of it. A full run with only the wipes and break time cut. That said..

The rules of Aurum Vale:

1.Watch where you stand. The golden pools hurt you/apply Gold lung, the geysers can knock you around and there are mobs everywhere that you don't need to aggro and thus should stay back from. So this dungeon does put a lot of stress on the tank and healer since if the tank is aggroing too much it'll all go downhill.

2.Patience. This place is considered the hardest dungeon in the game. In the Duty Finder you'll probably suffer wipes. Don't rage quit just because of a single wipe, instead look at what caused the wipe and fix it. Explain the boss mechanics to new players if you've done it before. The tank in our run explained the boss battles to our healer very nicely.

3.Synched to 49. If you are a BLM well you can't bust out Flare. You can't expect to really speed run this dreadful place.

4.Plan some of the boss fights out. This mostly applies to the Locksmith boss fight. Make sure it's clear who will get which fruit. The tank in our run marked their fruit and I stood by mine.

5.If the Duty Finder runs aren't going well ask your Free Company, look at the Party Finder or just even ask in Map Chat. The community is generally nice and it'll save you the wait times in queue.
