Previously, the party carried out the sidequest "Hunters and Gatherers" and four hunts in the Leide region. How, they will travel north to the Prairie Outpost to continue the story quest "Legacy".
As they resume, they go into the Astralsphere and spend 32 AP on "Ultralight Phase" under Combat. This reduces the MP cost of phasing. The player earns the trophy "Self-Improved" for activating twenty ability nodes. This rates a silver trophy?
Since it is nighttime, they spend a night at the Three Z's Hotel in Longwythe (time 1:27). I'm not too proud to use the 1.5 EXP multiplier here. Each party member reaches Level 14, and their AP increases to 45. Gladiolus reaches Survival Level 3: Hi-Potion Hoarder. Prompto reaches Photography Level 4 and will now take Random Selfies.
The party begins driving north along the dirt road from Longwythe Rest Area (time 3:43). There is a campsite to check out north of the peak.
North of the rest area, they find the Abandoned Barn Parking Spot (time 5:07).
Northeast of the Abandoned Barn, they find the Pallebram Haven (time 6:40). They rest here in case of camp tours, but there is none.
At the base of a tree near the Abandoned Barn, there is a food spot for Leiden Peppers (time 7:59).
The party continues driving north toward the Prairie Outpost (time 8:17).
When they rejoin the paved road, they park at the Norduscaen Blockade Parking Spot (time 9:37).
West of the parking spot, they find another campsite, the Entethina Haven (time 10:24). As before, they rest here in case of a camp tour.
They continue driving north (time 11:44). After turning onto a dirt road, they alight at the Prairie Outpost. Time to look around and gather information.
On the west side of a building on the south side of the road, the party finds a cart with another Mystery Map (time 12:56). Picking it up initiates the quest "Scraps of Mystery II". They will be heading to that area soon enough.
At a grate on the rear of the building, there is a spot for a Metal Scrap (time 13:21).
On a cart to the southeast, there is an article named "Hunter Outpost" (time 13:33). It provides information about the Prairie Outpost. It seems there was a city named Keycatrich in this area, and it is now in ruins.
By a truck along the south side of the road, someone operates an item shop (time 14:41). Be sure to have some Potions and Hi-Potions going forward.
Using a junk car and the awning, the party can access the roof of the building south of the road (time 15:00). On the chimney, they find Oracle Ascension Coin #006.
When they get close to a radio behind the hunter base, they will hear a broadcast about Lady Lunafreya (time 15:52).
The party can climb a ladder to a tower at the northeast corner of the intersection. On the tower's walkway, there is a spot for a Rusted Bit (time 16:48).
Outside the main building of the outpost, there is an equipment shop (time 17:14).
Along the western exterior wall of the building there is another book (time 17:49). It is "Oric's Culinary Chronicle I Entry 3: New Friends". Sounds like a harrowing ordeal. Reading it teaches Ignis the recipe "Meat-and-Beet Bouillon". This requires Leiden Potato, Beetroot, and Bulette Shank.
On a table in the ruined house just to the west, there is a spot for a Potion (time 18:43).
Inside the hunter outpost building, the quest marker indicates a woman named Monica, one of the Crownsguard (time 19:10). She gives some information about Gladio's sister, Lady Iris. Giving Noctis Magic Flask #03, she instructs the party to head north to the tomb, where Cor is waiting. WIth a third Magic Flask, the party can now have magic of each element ready and waiting.
Along the northern exterior of the hunter outpost building, there is a spot for a Metal Scrap (time 20:59).
Also in the area, the party finds Dave again (time 21:14). Dave's dog tag hunt continues. He issues the quest "Dust to Dust" to seek a dog tag in the countryside south of the Prairie Outpost.
The party drives south to the quest destination for "Dust to Dust" (time 22:48). They pull over at the Norduscaen Blockade Parking Spot.
At the quest marker just east of the parking spot, they find a group of monsters (time 23:56). There are some Daggerquills, Anaks, and Anak Calves. Prompto's Piercer levels up when he uses it.
