Previously, the party finished exploring Costlemark Tower. At Galdin Quay, they turned in the Emerald Stone to Dino for "A Treasure Beyond Measure". Now, they will do the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration quest, "Adventurer from Another World".
After resuming, they spend a night at Galdin Quay's hotel, the Quayside Cradle, for its excellent EXP multiplier of 2.0 (time 0:41). Noctis jumps from Level 55 to Level 69, while the others jump from Level 54 to Level 68. Their AP total jumps from 307 to 508. Gladiolus reaches Survival Level 8, Mega-Potion Miner.
In the morning, they get a call from Cid (time 2:27). Cid has finished work on the Gravity Well and the Engine Blade III.
At the Regalia, the party fast-travels to Cape Caem (time 4:27).
At the garden, they harvest five Caem Carrots (time 5:43). They talk to Tony (time 6:01). They exchange four Caem Carrots for another upgradeable weapon, a pair of Plunderers.
They talk to Cid (time 6:51). "A Better Engine Blade III" complete! The party earns a base of 1,000 EXP apiece and the Ultima Blade. Cid also gives the party Cid's Old Hammer.
The party talks to Cid again (time 8:18). "A Better Gravity Well" complete! The party earns a base of 2,000 EXP apiece and the Gravity Well Plus.
Cid issues the quest "A Better Pair of Plunderers". To upgrade the Plunderers, he needs a Barbed Scythe.
The party hands over the Barbed Scythe to improve the Plunderers, a Dynamo to upgrade the Bioblaster, and a Magitek Core to upgrade the Drillbreaker. They must wait a while before Cid will be done. They still need some Spiked Armor to upgrade the Absorb Shield and a Magnetron to upgrade the Noiseblaster.
For "Adventurer from Another World", the party fast-travels to the Cauthess Rest Area (time 11:15).
Following the voice that called for help, they go to the warehouse in the northwest, where they find a girl in an unpleasant situation (time 12:07). She needs help moving the fat chocobo.
The party talks to the girl (time 12:47). This chocobo is a finicky eater; he demands the best veggies. They must drop by the Wiz Chocobo Post to get some Premium Gysahl Greens.
The party begins driving northeast to the Wiz Chocobo Post (time 14:11). They soon arrive at their destination (time 15:50).
They visit the item shop (time 16:16). Under Key Items, they pick up the Premium Gysahl Greens.
Then, they begin driving back to Cauthess Rest Area (time 17:03). They soon arrive at their destination (time 18:55).
In the warehouse, they deliver the greens (time 19:34). The girl, Y'jhimei, is a Miqo'te. She asks the party's help taking care of a problem in the nearby base, Perpetouss Keep.
The party begins driving west towards Perpetouss Keep (time 22:56).
They pull over on the base access road (time 23:50). They head west to Fallaughns Haven to cook up some magic and absorb some elemental energy. At the haven, they wait until morning (time 25:39).
Then, they approach Perpetouss Keep (time 28:04). Y'jhimei communicates with them over the linkpearl and asks them to come inside the base to meet up with her.
Afterwards, they head into the base (time 29:13). Y'jhimei has found a precarious place to spy on the activity in the base. Noctis must rendezvous with her.
We gain control of Noctis in Perpetouss Keep (time 30:35).
After he goes southeast, a scene takes place (time 31:03). Y'jhimei shows him how to join her. This will require a little bit of platforming.
In a room at the eastern corner of the base, Noctis finds a Phoenix Down (time 31:55). There is also a document, "Proposal: Combat Training Node".
Then, Noctis begins platforming behind the building to reach Y'jhimei's lofty perch.
On a catwalk, he finds a Superior Restorative (time 33:10).
After traversing a crane, he rejoins Y'jhimei (time 34:07). She gives him a telescope. He must scout three suspicous locations.
He must zoom in on the five crystals directly ahead of him (time 34:57). Y'jhimei explains what the Ixali beastmen are up to.
Another spot to examine is the bird-like statue to the left (time 37:24).
Finally, a bit to the right of the five crystals, there is a curious object by the opposite wall of the base (time 38:45). Y'jhimei explains that this is how she got here.
Noctis and Y'jhimei converse afterwards (time 39:31). They rejoin the others on ground level. Next, the party must head for the statue.
