Previously, the party did "Adventurer from Another World", a collaboration with "Final Fantasy XIV". Now, they will do "Close Encounter of the Terra Kind", a collaboration with "Terra Wars" by Sakaguchi's Mistwalker Studios.
After resuming, they fast-travel to the Malmalam Thicket parking spot (time 0:47).
Along the path southwest of the parking spot, but before the bridge leading to the Malmalam Thicket dungeon, they find a teleporter (time 2:16). When Noctis examines it, he gets transported to a strange realm. He meets a young woman named Sarah.
After the scene, the player gains control (time 5:46). The quest "Chosen Girl, Eroded World" begins. There are some items to find here. They do not carry over to the main game, but they will be useful during this quest.
A scene occurs when Noctis approaches Sarah at the barrier up the stairs (time 6:04).
Afterwards, Noctis must follow Sarah downstairs. A scene takes place when he catches up with her (time 6:47). They meet a being called a Hiso Alien. In fact, the text on its chest, ひそ, is pronounced "Hiso". It tells them about a threat to its world, the Eroder. Noctis questions it about numerous things.
After the Q&A session, Noctis and Sarah must follow the Hiso Alien (time 12:22). Another scene takes place when they reach a barriered doorway (time 12:37).
Continuing on, another scene takes place (time 13:23).
After the scene, Noctis must break through the indicated wall (time 13:52). A couple of monsters appear: a Stoneshears and a Shieldshears. Unfortunately, Noctis is limited to three weapons provided by the scenario.
Another scene takes place after the battle (time 15:37). Unfortunately, the warp gate is broken, so the Hiso Alien will lead Noctis and Sarah to a longer route.
A scene takes place back in the starting area (time 17:07). The Hiso Alien lowers a barrier so they can proceed. They arrive in the Hiso Aliens' village.
A scene takes place in the village (time 17:47). Unfortunately, three of the youths are intent on playing, and they take Noct's phone!
The player takes control of Sarah (time 18:59). She must catch the three Hiso Alien children.
She soon catches one child (time 19:19). Then, she catches a second child (time 20:18). This makes the third child available.
She finds the third child in a precarious position (time 20:51). A scene takes place.
After the scene, the player regains control of Noctis (time 22:38). He can explore the village for treasures and talk to Hiso Aliens for information.
Eventually, Noctis and Sarah find the first Hiso Alien they met (time 25:53). This one lowers the barrier so the pair can continue through the forest to the elder. Meanwhile, it will work on the teleporter.
A scene takes place as they continue (time 26:55). A pity; I was expecting a fight.
Another scene occurs when they reach a tunnel (time 28:10). Noctis and Sarah must break through some more walls before they get crushed. Noctis must also help Sarah up at one point during the event. Noctis and Sarah will break through the last wall together. Afterwards, Noctis will be able to use Sarah's technique, Salvation, in battle, and link-strikes will become available.
Past the tunnel, they approach the Hiso Elder (time 30:20).
During the scene, some enemies come to life (time 31:44). There are a couple of Mushussus and a Leukorn.
The scene continues after the battle (time 33:20). The elder leads the through a portal to the starting area, but the starting area is looking bad.
We regain control in the starting area (time 36:04). Noctis can speak to the elder to continue to the battle with the Eroder. However, first, he can do a trading sequence to get another weapon.
To start with, he can find a Verve WX on the ground. He can trade this to one alien to get a Superior Restorative. Another alien will take the Superior Restorative in exchange for a Hi-Elixir. One alien takes the Hi-Elixir and gives Noctis a Mega-Potion in exchange. Another alien takes the Mega-Potion in exchange for a Megalixir. One takes the Megalixir in exchange for a Mega Phoenix. The last one takes the Mega Phoenix and gives Noctis a royal arm, the Blade of the Mystic.
Finally, up the stairs, Noctis talks to the Hiso Elder (time 39:44). After verifying that Noctis is ready, it lowers the barrier so that Noctis and Sarah can proceed.
