No matter if you like the game or not, Final Fantasy XV is huge. It might seem barren at some points, but nonetheless it has a lot of content if you are the completionist type. One of the additional unlockable features are "Episodes" devoted to a specific member of Nocto's entourage. Thus, Royal Edition of the game adds three such episodes devoted respectively to Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto (each DLC can be purchased individually as well) and one final DLC focused on Ardyn Izunia.
While Episode Gladiolus and Episode Ignis were pretty basic in terms of content and general "scope", Episode Ardyn being a much larger experience, Episode Prompto is by far the largest DLC released for Final Fantasy XV. And it's about one of the most interesting companions of them all - Prompto.
This DLC has everything in it - a new large region to explore, great action, Aranea, more collectibles, lore, Aranea, and then even more Aranea.
I have to admit that before playing the Additional Chapters, I didn't care about skills of the companions in the main game - you can use AP to buy a skill for each companion individually to be able to switch to them during battle. Oh, if only I knew this sooner. FFXV is a little bit janky when it comes to stability of battles. What I mean is that it is really hard to stand still without getting knocked over every 2 seconds. This makes the shooting aspect of Prompto's skills a nightmare, but still, it's a great new gimmick. The DLC also adds some cool parts like the final rail shooter section. BTW, Prompto is probably the second most badass character out of the four because the he managed to take down one of the craziest final bosses in the whole game.
While other Chapters where mediocre at worst and pretty good at best, Episode Prompto has easily become my favorite of them all. And I think it's the best one, you should try it out.
