Part 19 - Fantasy, Finally

And that wraps up the sidequests! While I don't mind most of the sidequests, they're typical Final Fantasy, and let's be honest, RPG fare as far as I'm concerned, but the criticisms of them mostly remain intact: there's a whole bunch of them, which in itself isn't an issue, but they're paced pretty poorly the further you get into the game (we're doing a bunch right now that's stalled the finale for around 6 hours!), and while the gameplay loop never changes, i.e. going to someone, talking to them, walking to someone else, going to a place to fight and/or collect something, then returning to talk summore, the actual stories they're telling are fine, and some are excellent if you value the characters, the side characters and the world they inhabit, as they do give you some insight into the world of Valisthea, and more importantly, the ending coming up.

And no, Chronoliths aren't quite my bag. I'm not super great at these "character action games" as we're calling them, but I do have fun playing them, even though I know in the back of my mind I'm not playing optimally, I imagine most of you watching this might not even care and are just here for a longplay of otherwise the entire game with no commentary. I save that for the hours-long review that'll release a few years from now.
