Final Fight - Megadrive Homebrew (WIP Demo)
17A gentleman called Mauro Xavier has been working on a fan made port of Final Fight for the Sega Megadrive. Back in the day Mega CD got a port of Capcom's classic arcade brawler, but not the MD base console.
You can play as all three characters in this demo and complete the first 2 levels and the smash the car up bonus stage. Mauro mentions that there are still a few bugs to be ironed out, but what’s on offer here is incredibly impressive, especially when you consider it’s a fan made project: Lovely big sprites, lots of enemies on screen at once, very faithful sounding music. Incredible! I didn’t actually test this bit, but it looks like there’s a 2 player mode too.
I loved Final Fight in the arcade back in the day, I would definitely have bought a copy for my Megadrive if it’d received a proper retail release.
