Final Fight Revenge (Saturn) Arcade Mode - Cody
Cody is one of my favorite Capcom characters of all time and has one of the deepest backstories, going from a hero, to a violence addict, to a prisoner, to mayor of Metro City. Final Fight Revenge offers an explanation of how he was arrested and became a prisoner. He simply beat up too many Mad Gear members and ended up running afoul of Edi E. FFR isn't regarded as canon, however the events in that particular ending were close to official SF canon anyway.
Final Fight Revenge was a 1999 Sega ST-V arcade game/2000 Sega Saturn game developed by Capcom Digital Studios (later Capcom Production Studio 8) which was Capcom's US video game development branch. The game was designed by the Japanese branch of Capcom, however. Even though this was the case, the game never made it to the US.
I'm testing my new AV to HDMI converter, and figured this would be the best game to do so with. I messed up putting in my initials at the end so just put in DDD lol. Also forgot to switch my console's language to English because the ending would have been in English then. FFR was played on real hardware with a real copy of the game and a capture card.
Cody is my favorite character to use in FFR because most of the other characters are somewhat clunky, and Cody can throw off the AI with his Somersault Kick (which is why I used it so much). Finishing a round with his super makes him pay tribute to Hokuto no Ken's main character, Kenshiro.
