As Neo attempts to travel further back into Colin's memories, he finds himself jumping back and forth between the earliest and most recent parts of his life instead of progressively moving backward, as is what should be happening. This paints an ominous picture, especially as Eva and Neil are unable to come up with any solid theories as to what sort of anomaly is affecting Colin - all they know is that the anomaly seems to be moving them across Colin's memories in something resembling a spiral pattern. Neo can't help but wonder what exactly is in the center of this "spiral", but with nothing to help him make sense of the anomaly he decides to do what Neil and Eva suggest that they do: just keep moving "forward" and just deal with whatever issues as they arise, since they really have no better alternative methods they can follow anyway.


To that end, they begin taking as many details from Colin's life as they can, hoping to find any clues that will help them solve the mystery of this anomaly as well as determine the exact nature of Colin's wish.
