The levels of the deployed units in this chapter:

Eirika 12(63)
Franz 5(51)
Joshua 5(20)
Gilliam 5(07)
Artur 4(94)
Ross 4(55)
Moulder 4(42)
Colm 4(41)
Lute 4(26)
Natasha 2(19)

As a result of low level rotation that we repeat after every map, Vanessa and Neimi drop out of the party. This is somewhat ironic as Vanessa's flying utility is highly valued on this map (not so much on non-low turn runs though, because we'd rather grab that Energy Ring) and Neimi's gimmick of being able to operate as a ballistician could also be put to some use here, but she happened to gain enough experience to make way for other characters. Which isn't a bad thing actually.

One problem I faced with this map is that my characters fail to double pretty much everything on the map, besides Steel Axe Fighters who weigh themselves down, and the Soldiers (what else would you expect). Joshua and Eirika double everything with ease, but that's about it.

I didn't want to deal with the Fighter and the Thunder Mage approaching from the west, so I sent Joshua to solo them. This was kinda risky, what with Josh being unable to counter the mage at 2-range, and he was facing some significant enough chances of death there. Thunder 2HKOs him at 35% accuracy, so the chance of two of these hitting in a row (before we can heal with a Vulnerary) is high, and there's no way to counter on enemy phase, so we have to risk and attack. Joshua's confrontation with that pesky mage gets pretty extreme, with me running out of Vulneraries and relying on Killing Edge to finish the thing off. Of course, the crit kicks in when you don't really need it.

The rest of the party is doing fine however, with Franz's movement, Gilliam's tanky proportions and the Ross/Lute offensive tandem which works nicely for dealing good damage with their A support.

I'm not fond of Gilliam gaining no speed and defence whatsoever by this point, so I give him extra experience on purpose so that I give him a Knight's Crest once he's level 10 and so get rid of him for a while (since by my rules he would count as being lv. 21 even when promoted early). Or maybe not. If he starts procing defence as he should, he'll be one of the few reliable characters during Phantom Shop, with Duessel unavailable and Seth most likely absent by that point (kinda too early to tell, maybe I'll start promoting things like crazy and Seth will be mine again).

I have Colm steal the Energy Ring, not yet sure who needs it most. Ephraim could always eat one, if his levels are as bad as the ones he got in his so far only chapter. Colm doesn't take much part in combat because we want him in the next chapter. Very nice chests to be opened in that one.

I could work on supports at this point, maybe getting some Bs to As, but I don't bother. I might do it when there are additional characters who really appreciate support bonuses so that I can build many at a time.

And that's that, the boss is very easily killed with Eirika's Rapier. Not sure who the MVP is, you decide. Maybe Artur for getting that sexy level-up? Though he didn't really perform better than most others.
